The closing date for the receipt of votes in the Member consultation on a potential sale of Trust shares in Swansea City was on Tuesday and a majority of Trust members who took part have voted in favour of Option One - To accept the offer for a part sale of shares.

The Independent Scrutineer has advised that the total number of votes cast was as follows:

Question One: Are you in favour of accepting the offer for a part sale of shares — Option One

Yes 684

No 231

Void 12

Percentage of Yes Votes (684). Based on Valid Vote (915) 74.75%

Percentage of No Votes (231). Based on Valid Vote (915) 25.24%

Percentage Turnout. Based on Votes Cast (927). (Eligible Members 1814) 51.10%

As, the majority (74.75%) voted Yes to Question One, the remaining Options automatically fall.

Thank you to all those who took part in the vote and we will now take the matter forward with the Club's majority shareholders. We will keep members advised of developments. The result will be posted on the Trust website shortly.

A members' mailing will be posted out next week which will include a membership form for the new membership year for those who have not yet already renewed. In the meantime see details below of other ways to renew.

Best wishes

I want a mate like Flashberryjacks, who wears a Barnsley jersey with "Swans are my second team" on the back.

Only about 10% of supporters can be bothered or motivated to join the Trust.

More significantly, only 50% of members could be bothered to vote. Amazing. FFS.

We've got the club we deserve.

Proud to have been one of the 231

How do you know that? They may have played a blinder, we won't know until this runs its course.

I'm gutted by this, to be honest - all people had to do was tick a couple of boxes, pop a sheet of paper in a pre-paid envelope and drop it in a postbox.

That is a very disappointing start to my day, I voted legal so at least I cant be blamed when the merrycans finally shaft us.

I have held off renewing due to this vote & can now see that I would be throwing my money down the drain if I were to renew

The Trust is a shambles and in light of recent information this farce should be stopped now.

Maybe a petition with a higher turn out and vote would achieve this.

Sadly don't think the trust has much credibility with fans. The wording was clearly favouring tthe yes vote. We'll reap what we sow. If we don't get relegated and Yanks exit in next 2 years it'll be about who buys us next - another US set of bankers wanting to flip a profit, or a Chinese or Qatar investor on a power trip. Track record of later far better than our yank friends with very limited success. Naturally Villa but Utd and Liverpool losing position versus Chelsea, City and Spurs.

Also where is London Lisa all of a sudden.

Normally when she makes a post against the grain the Trust people are in her ear privately immediately.

I also have to say that since Stu MacDonald has been Supporters Directer the Trust has gone into its shell. Their dealings with Pearlman and the new Board are as secretive as ever and communication has all but dried up.

His appointment feels like a hatchet job on the once great Supporters Trust.

It ain't good enough and questions need answering.

"The Trust has received guidance from a top QC who specialises in unfair prejudice cases, in relation to the strength of its legal claim. He believes the Trust have a strong legal case and that, if it went to court, the Trust has a strong chance of winning."

Paying for the QC was a complete waste of money then.
