That may be on the cards. Don't know much about Wood. How they can see Ollie as a replacement after his few first team showings for us is beyond me. Tempted to file under bollocks. If there are any legs on this I hope Jenkins is on the case. Assuming Wood is any good of course. [Post edited 20 Aug 2017 17:56]

Yep Mcburnie is at the age where he should of made the step up if he's going to make it with us. I'd be looking to sell if a decent offer came in, unless we are covering the relegation possibility

I've yet to see anything in Mcburnie to suggest he can make a career for himself in professional football at anything above Lge2 level at best.

The thing is even with relagation he's not even done anything at championship level. So it would be poor planning if true....oh hang on. | | | | Login to get fewer ads
McBurnie To Be Wood Replacement? on 19:11 - Aug 20 with 1342 views | Dr_Winston | There's still a lingering adherence to a bit of Martinez's belief that players are often released too young when it comes to the kiddies. We've got altogether too many here that realistically should be knocking on the door of the first team by now if they were going to make it. By the time they get to nineteen or twenty they need to be having full seasons out on loan at League One level at least, and it is encouraging that more of them are heading that way rather than into LOW obscurity. If they're not up to that level then however then odds are they're not going to make it.

Well, they did take Grimes and I think McBurnie is better than him.

This is what I've been saying for ages. Get them out there playing, if not for us then go play competitive football elsewhere. This will lead to one of two outcomes. 1. They come back to us more experienced and raring to go. 2. They stay at their loan club eventually making us some dosh.

Or maybe we should be re assessing the ability our scouting team. I may be a little harsh here, but I wouldn't be confident of buying a packet of crisps on their advise.

Who cares? He's not capable of playing in the Premier league, simple as that.

It's not a question of Olis capabilities, I was just wondering who would replace him.
