Total bs. A number of big clubs were in for him but Bayern didn't want to sell. It seems that there was only 1 preferred loan destination for Bayern and the player - PC tapped them up in June.

I don't think it's a recent thing. I saw Swans play at Upton Park the season we got promoted to the 1st Div and it was the most unpleasant experience I ever had at a football ground, worse than Millwall. My brother & I had our girlfriends with us but had to leave well before the end as they were getting scared and TBH, me & my bro were more than a bit worried too especially about the girls' wellbeing. Vowed I'd never go back there but I did a couple of seasons ago as I was invited to go by a close business associate who is a WHU fan. Wasn't anything like as bad as before but still an unpleasant experience sat amongst some serious knuckle draggers. Not a nice day out and not one I'd repeat even if someone else is paying. I think it's just one of those clubs in a pretty unpleasant area that is run by awful people and attracts awful people. Never met anyone other than my business associate who likes them either.

Had a bit of nerve-wracking afternoon at Upton Park years ago in the 90s when we drew 1-1 with them in the FA cup.
Swansea sold their allocation of 3,500 tickets and I took a chance and got hold of 5 tickets in one of their stands (the Centenary, I think).
Got to Baker Street on the tube and a load of Hammers got on. I've got a London-ish accent so I was ok but I told my mates to keep their voices down. Eventually one of these big lumps leaned over and asked if we were Swansea. Got chatting & he was sound enough - even had a step-brother who'd moved to Mumbles.
We ended up high up right at the back of the stand & had only been there a minute when by some freak chance the blokes from the tube took their seats about 10 yards to our right. One of them spotted us, gave us a thumbs up & put his forefinger to his lips as if to say "I won't say anything but you'd better keep quiet as well".
Went ok until just before 1/2 time when some oiky cockney teenagers right in front of us sussed us out. "You lot are fack*n Welsh, aren't ya?" "Do I sound fack*n welsh to you?" I replied. "Not you, you're fack*n mates", he squeaked back.
Before all this, right behind us stood one of their knuckle-draggers, in a full-length black leather jacket, holding his girlfriend in some sort of affectionate headlock, spending the whole of the first half seething with anti-Welsh hatred, bellowing about sub-human sheep-sha**ers & how we should all fac*k off back to our wet hills and take our fack*n awful leek soup with us.
Would have been hilarious if we weren't surrounded by scores of West Ham now staring at us with hostility & suspicion.
We ended up being escorted out by a posse of burly stewards without being punched in the side of the face by anyone. They even took us round to our end to see the game out. One of the few times I've had a positive experience with stewards.

My friend, please ignore this troll. He is just another Sporting Lisbon supporter, bashing former Benfica players all over the internet. They never win anything, they must entertain themselves somehow. This is a plague very well-know, and you should just ignore it :)
Talking about what really matters, congratulations guys, you have signed the biggest talent of its age. And don't be afraid because he played so little last season. He had no space and the manager didn't trust him.
He was absolutely crucial 2 years ago with Benfica, being the most influential player to help us win the league. Several times, when the things didn't go well, he carried the entire team forward alone. With just 18 (!) years old. And he did the same at the Euro's with 19!
He is a force of nature, and he has improved is passing and shooting skills. He's playing right now against your home nation (under 21's) and he is running the show. He is one of a kind.
