Mayweather v McGregor on 06:30 - Aug 27 with 3580 views | Kilkennyjack | Carl Froch was 'expecting a lot more' from a man making his professional boxing debut against one of the best boxers of all time. There was only ever one winner, but most people watched it because of the fighting Irishman.

Yep, exactly that, McGregor was gassed after 5/6 rounds, but for all his power and speed he never ever got to the Money, fair play to McGregor though he take some good punches but never went down so he's got a solid chin, but can't see where he goes in Boxing.

Totally agree, just watched the replay,he gave it a go,but half his weapons were taken away,he was blowing out of his arse,as fit as he was.He couldn't land any decent punches,FM boxing craft was too good.CM looked awkward throughout. That's my take anyway. PS Hope you had a great holiday, welcome back.

Yeah lovely Holiday Cheers J2J. McGregor was cuffing FM more than punching him for the most part, needing to get himself trained in the art of Boxing to continue, that said fair play to him for taking on the best in the business in his first real Pro fight and lasting into the tenth, he'll probably go back to the UFC/MMA though.

That he did and good luck to him, but like the poster above said its been a circus and not worthy of a career defining fight like as been mentioned let alone a fight worthy of beating Marciano's record.

First judge spot on, the other two are clowns. Mayweather threw about 6 punches in the first few rounds. Conor won the first 3, possibly the 7th (I think), Mayweather won the rest comfortably.

Think most of us had what you had. CM first 2, probably the 3rd as well. Thing is, that was FM headhunting. Ive never, ever seen him just stand there like that. He had zero respect for anything CM had even though he weighed 20 lbs less and gave away a lot of height. Turns out strikers in MMA cant really deliver the power in the same way boxers can. Im shocked. Honest.

Paul Maglignaggi said after sparring with him that he didn't seem like he had out and out punching power just high intensity which is accumulative especially if you are caught with a stinger.

Thats the thing tho. Guys like CM cant really rely on just one skill, theyve got all the other martial arts to focus on. Jack of all trades if you like. Shows the different stamina levels required between the sports mind. if ever there was an example of why boxers do 4, 6, 8, 10, 12 rounds as they grow throughout their careers, that was it. Fair play to McGregor he's got a big pair of gonads to take on one of the very best of the last 5yrs or more in his first Pro Fights and despite all the hype it wasn't a bad watch either.
