I think an Ireland win not looking good for qualification if we do finish 2nd.
Looks like it's between the runners up of Wales group and the 2nd placed team in the group with Greece and Bosnia in.

Of course it is a must win game for us on Tuesday... we don't want to draw with Moldova and have to beat Georgia away, we know that Georgia are a useful stubborn lot and will be the tougher game.
The big picture.
We don't want Ireland to win Tuesday...if this were to happen they would be on 19pts by the time they play us (they have Moldova at home inbetween Serbia and us), we'd have to win all 3 of ours to finish on 20pts...but then we might need to do that anyway in order to squeeze into the 9/10 highest 2nd place finishers.
If Ireland did beat Serbia on Tuesday, Serbia are certainly good enough to win their last 2 games, leaving them on 21pts.
So if Ireland win on Tuesday we will realistically need a clean sweep from our remaining 3 games just to finish 2nd on 20 points.
We want Serbia to get a result in Ireland Tuesday night, a draw is ok for us even.
That would leave us only needing to beat Moldova and draw with Georgia to put us a point or 2 behind Ireland when we face them in Cardiff (Monday night, the 9th of October)
Winner takes 2nd place! (WDW = only 18 point 2nd place though)
We might have to win them all...

As you can see we can finish 2nd with 2 wins and a draw, will all depend on the other groups, and I think you're right...we will most likely need to win them all (barring an epic breakdown by both Serbia and Ireland with some shock losses).
I'm keeping my fingers crossed for an Ireland/Serbia draw, followed by...
Ireland f*cking up and drawing at home to Moldova
&
Serbia losing or drawing away to Austria (who could still qualify if they win all 3 of their games, so not so fanciful)...
- now Serbia would be on 16/17 points going into their last game at home to Georgia
and
- Ireland would be on 15 points
- a win and a draw for Wales would put us on 15 points going into the Ireland game
- 2 wins for Wales would put us on 17 points
Conclusion
So finishing top is not that outlandish but we need Serbia to draw (Ireland) and lose (Austria) or at least draw twice...if Serbia beat Ireland we are fighting for 2nd place (an 18/20pt 2nd place)...if Ireland beat Serbia we will have to win the lot to come above Ireland (that could mean 1st place but we would again be counting on an epic f*ck up from Serbia, a 20pt 2nd place finish most likely).
Hopefully that helps somebody watching the game with one eye on Ireland/Serbia on Tuesday...might have confused myself! [Post edited 4 Sep 2017 0:06]

We currently have taken 7 points so far from Ireland Serbia and Austria. With Ireland to play at home.

Cyprus have taken 3 points with Belgium and Greece to play.
as long as we beat Ireland and finish level with any of these teams in the group points we would qualify, apart from Cyprus if they manage to beat Belgium and Greece and finish level with us.
