Well, as summer moves off in to the distance, it'll soon be time for Poster Of The Year. This year is going to be the hottest contested in the history IMO.

On the football side of the forum, then there's not a poster that will come close to Res this year, rattled many cages again, with his football knowledge coming only second to me on here.

On the everything else side of the forum, you've got the two red hot favs in Humpty and Lisa, they have wiped the floor with all comers this year. I'm looking forward to a subject coming up were they have differing views, so they can go at it.

A few honourable mentions to those that contribute well to the above catagories, but don't quite make the super league, Jack247, Landore, Dyfnant, Senhin, Max, MrSwerve & whiterock.

Then you have your specialist posters, Loyal, Warwick, whoflungdung & magicdaps10.

I obviously haven't included heavyweights like Daz, Fath, ECB.

Posters that could gatecrash if they posted more, Rancid, Swanjack, Loh and SoberBaker.

We're on the final run in now.....

I want a mate like Flashberryjacks, who wears a Barnsley jersey with "Swans are my second team" on the back.

I like the Res but to be honest I thought he posted recycled shite about Siggy & Llorente for 6 months.

Posters like Tommy Shandy Risca stick to decent football posts & don't need to be absuive to get their points across.

I like you too Marco. But you do like a girly whine now and then.... Abusive? How? I've never been anything other than, let's say frank, on this site, so that's not true.

Recycled shite.... Highlighting the main issues I'd say and deep down you know what i've been saying is ringing true. We've a squad to get excited about now. I bet everyone's looking forward to Newcastle like they've not looked forward to a Swans game for quite some time....

And why, because we were able to replace 2 players who were equipped for a z-fest and brought in a squad full of genuine, exciting talent.

Bring it facking on!!

NJ OP, post of the year!!!

Whilst I'll never, ever agree that selling those two in January would have been anything other than mental, I'm with you on sacrificing them and getting our style back all the way.

Have to admit you're bang on about Sunday, genuinely can't wait!

I'm perfect, the all round poster, most informed, the biggest tongue, the finest licker, ladies love me even if they don't admit it, I can cook, clean and munch, I have contacts, politics and life all sussed. I once done that bird in Ireland then Jonesy did her afterwards, vile cnt she is. I have several unexplained viruses, a sister in law who gobbles like a turkey and have killed three men, one with my bare hands.

And the real vote winner is - Darran is a cnt 👍

Here you go Loyal, here's an anagram just for you.

I haven't seen anything of this 'old playing style' in the 3 games we have played so far this season

Let's hope it starts Sunday

We hadn't signed Bony at that point. Whether he comes back the same player that left or not, that kind of style requires a pivot for other players to make runs off. No one else in the squad has the combination of strength and technique to do it.

I still think we will be primarily focused on defensive shape, but I think our attack will have a bit more of our old verve about it.

Edit - though there enough threads on Bony and playing style already. Didn't mean to hijack the POTY thread. Sorry.

I personally don't want the Bony that left. He was lethargic and slow at times and chased down very little. Most of his goals meant not a lot and he missed so many crucial goals as well. Napoli springs to mind.

I want the Bony he professes to be in his latest news article. That Bony would be most welcome.
To have him, Tammy and Ayew as an option is the strongest front line we have had for years.

If we get the old Bony back, Tammy will get a shedload of goals.

Although he got a lot himself, look at all the chances he created for Siggy, Routs, Dyer etc. then replace those players with Ayew, Tammy and Sanches.

You don't want a player like that charging all over the pitch. You want him fairly static and central. The movement should come from players around him.

I'm voting for Lord Bony, think Lisa is the best poster and Mo is the funniest. Part of me wants to see Drizzy do well though.

I'd agree with most of that.

I'd vote for yourself or Res as the best football poster.

Mo when it comes to politics and humour.

Lisa gives a good show too...and although I find her politics a bit scary, at least she has a backbone unlike ECB and Humpty.

Res, 247 and a few others are very good football posters but, just like the rest of us, they are only right part of the time

Mo's politics are vvank...almost as bad as his misogyny. His sense of humour though is top notch.

Lisa is fantastic but not infallible. As to Humpty and ECB having no backbone...all I can say is keep of the mescaline.

Football POTY... I disagree with his posting style and I definitely disagree with a chunk of what he posts but Res is leading the pack as he posts his reasoning behind his post (no matter how bullshitty it is)

General POTY is either Lisa or Humpty with a mention to Monny and Mo Wives and NUMEROUS others.

Special award POTY Mr WWIII, Lord Bony himself. Hang in there buddy>

Bony s post ,I think ,has affected us all.

On a lighter note ,I like to lock horns with posters who can see the surreal nature of our lives

WaYne and E a paul remain long term chums although their politics is light years from nine
