£18,000-a-year on 22:45 - Sep 7 with 4686 views | PozuelosSideys | Life aint fair. Dont see why you have to pull Grenfell into this to make a political point when you could have chosen probably any person that frequents this board instead. Id imagine hardly any of us can afford that or have been privvy. To use what happened at Grenfell to have an envious pop at the Royal Family is not cool man.

Just the quickest that sprung to mind and highlights the gap between the have and have not whilst both living in London, along with rest of the world. No offence intended.

I'm sure that it works all the way up the scale, maybe some person down on his luck, saw me today driving from work in my car and thought, look at that posh tw@t,life's not fair. Indeed, but what portion of this 18K PA is funded by the tax payer, thats the difference. I genuinely don't know?

I don't know either, obviously i would like my taxes to go to the NHS etc, etc. I have no problem what so ever in giving 0.002p/annum towards his education,if that is the case.

But wouldn't be great if that if that level/style of education or teaching practices could be accessed or shared amongst all children...No matter of background. Govt go on about how important education is, but there appears to be a huge gap in knowledge sharing. I'm in no way a specialist in this field, quite the opposite. Anyone? Nature or nurture and all that...

Of course not,but its a question of what you accept? Why should many kids funding for one free school meal a day be cut (potentially the only so called decent meal they get), but on the other side of the spectrum 18K goes on one childs funding, doesn't that sadden you? We are meant to be one of the wealthiest countries in the world, yet this is allowed to happening here, irrespective of whether his education is tax payer funded or not. The Govt can do and should do far more for child welfare, they clearly have to tools! They just chose not too!

The whole system is structured incorrectly.ironically you'll find better teachers in the state schools but they have fewer resources and less time with the kids. The curriculum isn't fit for purpose and won't be until it's not created by ministers with no clue of pedagogical or andragogical practices.

Childcare costs in Battersea won't be far off what you've quoted, probably 😳

Can't you tell the wife to stay home and do it? (if she's the lower earner) Do you know, my old gran...God bless her soul, would send six kids off to school and spend the rest of the day cleaning the house with another three around her feet and one hanging off each nipple. Saint she was, I tell you...ahh the good ol' days. [Post edited 8 Sep 2017 8:19]
