Why don't you accept the new board are doing a good job. They have not taken any money out of the club and are turning it around. By all means hold a grudge against the old board but in my opinion we are moving forward. How anyone could expect the new board to plough money in when they don't own the club 100% is beyond belief. |  | | |

Mate you're being sucked in. Yes we've made a great couple of signings recently but regardless of what these people say they're only here for one thing and that's to make a considerable profit on what they've paid for the club.

Now I may be proved wrong in due course, but I'm starting to come round dial to the yanks.
Yes, we all are aware they are here to make money, but at least they are up front and honest about it. Unlike those sneaky, conniving coonts we had running the club before.
They are trimming the squad to bring the wage bill more in line with what we can afford and I think they will continue to try and offload the deadwood that Jenkins was happy to keep throwing 4 year contracts at. We will also hopefully continue to see quality rather than cheap quantity, (again another Jenkins preference).
I would now expect them to be going full steam ahead regards purchase of lease of stadium to a) generate more income from naming rights etc and b) make the club a more appealing purchase, which I believe they will begin the process of trying to flip the club for £175 - £200 million shortly there after. They will then move on to pastures new with a very healthy/substantial profit of their outlay.
As for us, well we will finally get £30+ million stashed away in the Trust account for that rainy day, if it's ever needed. As let's all be honest, the trust in there current form are nothing short of useless. |  | | |

Of course they are.
By increasing its value and selling it. That's how people who buy and sell businesses make money. They aren't a massive scale Tony Petty.

Possibly I am being "sucked in" but I don't think the new board are going to make their money by syphoning the money out of the club. When they took over, the club financially was in a terrible mess, I believe that slowly this is being turned around. They will make their money in a few years when they sell us on, not with money syphoned out but with us in the Premier League and in a sound financial position. | | | |

We certainly should be. They didn't have a great window, I'd have liked to see another right back and centre back in, but it was certainly an improvement on what we have been used to.

It's not really a matter of trust. We know they're going to make a profit from the club. It's how they go about it.
I can't see how they'll make a better profit from the club by asset stripping it and selling it on as an emaciated husk as opposed to growing it and selling it on as a successful going concern in the Premier League when the next TV deal is in the offing. Logically their aims are the same as the supporters. The team needs to do well.
They aren't perfect. They have made mistakes, and the continued presence of the sellouts is one that they still are making. Otherwise things seem to be progressing on and off the pitch. | |
