Refreshing honesty

Slated himself I hope, to blame today.

""Although I cannot promise or predict the future, I can guarantee one thing - the current board of directors will always fight, as we have done over the last 12 years, to work together as one with the Supporters Trust to make 100% sure that Swansea City football club remains the number one priority in all our thoughts and in every decision we make."

I'm a big Clement fan but today was completely his fault.

Yup.

No width, no tempo. Too many similar midfielders, none of whom were far enough forward to support the strikers often enough. Tactically we just didn't have what it took to break down a stubborn Newcastle side who were quite happy to hit us on the break.

Mesa is apparently not ready to start but Sanches is after two training sessions. Riiiight.

Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

Last paragraph is why I'm pulling my hair out.

Someone else touched on it in an earlier thread, surely it's not a good vindication of how we do our business?

Something definitely ain't right!!

This is not a slight on Sanches, but he doesn't arrive here until Friday.... he's had no game time other than the U21's for Portugal. He's in a new country, new league and new teammates, he's not match fit and his confidence is shot, but doesn't need time to acclimatize!!

Mesa goes on pre season tour to USA, pre season games in UK and with his team mates for weeks. New league and new country, but he needs time to acclimatize.

Everyday above ground ... Is a good day! 😎

No way could Mesa have been any worse than Sanches was today.

Mesa was just about to come on when their goal went in.

The creatures outside looked from pig to man, and from man to pig, and from pig to man again; but already it was impossible to say which was which.

I was amazed to see that Mesa wasnt out there today.
We were crying out for someone to create a killer pass with a high passing tempo or at least get the team going forward with more purpose.
Christ I couldnt believe how laboured we were combined with a total lack of creativity. Almost always looking for the lateral or even backward pass, it was Piss Poor to watch.

For me, that was simply the worst performance during Clement's time in charge...

Just thinking of any positives today, well Fab had a decent game.

Narsingh was brought on when it was too late.

Continually being banned by Planet Swans for Porthcawl and then being reinstated.

Unfortunately narsing is another that isn't good enough for this league.

Well i'd like to bring a much more positive slant to proceedings, but I can't. That was thoroughly depressing. I hope Clement can see it because I tell you what, that is exactly what a Derby fan I met on my cruise told me they were like under Clement.

I had absolutely no idea today what exactly we were trying to do with the ball when we had it. It was like as if none of our players had ever seen each other before.

There is a positive actually, but linked to a negative. You have to take gilt edged chances when they come along. Those misses were shockers. But Newcastle could have had a couple more too. They at least had a pattern, some pace and movement, and some idea of what they were trying to do.

Christ that was bad.

There is lot bashing of the players today, but the players looked uncomfortable with this diamond system, especially the new players.

Big concern is not signing a playmaker and quality wingers. We look to be stuck with this boring diamond system which means relying on our full backs for creativity.

Even when you know, you never know?

We be celebrated a dead ball specialist and a proven striker replacing them with a ginger journeyman and a teen that s lost his way and one who we hope will get it back

We have no idea if he is or not. Since he's come in we've completely abandoned wingers. He pretty much only comes on for 5 minutes when we're chasing the game.
