Depends what you class as start.
Derby won only 1 of their first 38 games in 2007/08
Portsmouth lost their first 7 games in 2009/10

Palace are the first team ever to lose their first 5 games and not score a goal.

"Portsmouth lost their first 7 games in 2009/10" looks like a record that was made to be broken. Now.

I wonder how long Palace can go before they score and what sort of consecutive loss record they could possibly set.
Or will the Roy effect kick in?
Be nice if they could break Derby's record (1 relegation place gone then!!)

If you wake up breathing, thats a good start to your day and you'll make many thousands of people envious.

There is no Roy effect. Palace will lose their next three matches and they will match us in having three managers in a season. Difference is Palace will go down.

Derby drew their first home game against Portsmouth. I went to the match.

If the 'Roy effect' kicks in they are totally f*cked, based on how shit he was with Ingertit.

I wouldn't write them off personally, as these next 3 games were exactly the sort they won last season to drag themselves out of what looked certain doom.

Let's sort ourselves out before sneering at others.

Surely last season has shown us never to write off any team down the bottom?

Think of us last Christmas with Bob in charge...doomed.

I'm hoping that Palace continue to underperform, but it's far too early to tell. I don't think you can tell until March which teams are going to be in the mix for relegation...except for the odd exceptional circumstances e.g. Derby a few years back.

March? Well Sunderland and Villa off the top of my head in the last two seasons, says different, every season you tend get one team weaker than the rest, Palace are already starting to look like that team

You give it out, you take it back it`s all part of the game

At Christmas last year, there were 4 points between Sunderland in 20th and Palace in 15th, they were far from doomed.

A couple of wins can change everything. I agree that Palace are looking weak at the moment, but the situation could be massively different come Easter time.

Palace are currently 5/6 to go down so far from certainties.

At one point last year we were 1/3 to go down.

They'll win one of them and draw another. Beat Chelsea, draw at Man U.

Mathematically no, but you didn't think a Bob Bradley inspired side, tonking them 3-0 showed how poor they were, even Moyes when he took over said they were in a relegation battle before a ball was kicked

Just stating the over reaction of people.
