The rule in both the League and FA Cup is the away side are allocated 15%... unless there is safety factors or police advice... Therefore the normal 2,100 will become roughly 3,400, depending on how many seats get covered in matting in both the North West and North East Corners. This means they will get all four sections of the North Stand.
Season ticket holders in the North will be most probably told to wait until all the South, East and West Stand season ticket holders have claimed their seats and then they will get to choose their seats from the 2,000 seats that have to allocated to Non-Season Ticket Holders for league matches or the scattered seats that are not taken up by season ticket holders. Season tickets do not include cup tickets therefore the season ticket holders have payed vast amounts to watch this match and are not being displace. The club have been asking seasons ticket holders, in the North Stand to move to other parts of the stadium for a few years now to prevent this from from happening. | |

The season before we got into the premier league there was a mega offer of £250, £275 and eventually £300 season tickets in the North West and East Corners. This then meant that these season ticket holders were exactly where away fans would need to sit for cup matches because of the 15% criteria... Now a lot of clubs don't sell season tickets to one side of the away fans, these are kept as the match day tickets for home fans and Cup tickets for away fans... | |

Why, Not? Only safety issues or the police can stop that amount. The segregation fencing at the back of the North is designed for the whole stand. We give Wolves (2,480?) Leeds (2,840?) the whole of the North Stand for our league meetings. If both clubs had sold out they would have had 3,400, in our Championship or League One days.
Who knows perhaps they will meet and restrict it to 2,100. But I think they will be allocated the full amount to also stop too many of them trying to get into the home end too. [Post edited 21 Sep 2017 13:31]

The fencing behind the North is designed for up to 3,400 away fans. Arsenal have brought that in the past for a cup game. And Chelsea could of if they had sold out.

You will get to choose your exact seat but it could be somewhere like the West Northern corner. There is a large number of match day tickets sold in that corner. Or the in the West Southern corner or the East stand Southern corner. [Post edited 21 Sep 2017 13:51]

As an ST holder I'd never expect to automatically get my seat for a cup game. I can get it when demand is low (including for the Europa games, bizarrely) but it's not a given. I'm not aware of any club that does that. | | | |
