Oh,..Dave, what's occuring?

After today's performance, the lack of a clinical, dead ball specialist seems to be absolutely the least of our problems.

Well to the useless OP, I guess everyone to answer your stupid question.

Carroll's set pieces are better for one and we've got more running in the team without the useless one trick pony in our side

Move on FFS.

Sorry mate. I understand (and kinda agree) with all your opinions about what Gylfi didnt bring to the team, but if you think Carroll or anyone else in the squad is even close to the level of his set piece delivery, then your judgement is clouded.

Carroll's free kicks are not as good, but his corners are at least on a par.
However his open play is considerably better.

Carroll's corners are a few notches above any of One Trick Ponys.

His deep set pieces, which I was very disappointed being such a focal point of our play in the second half, are about the same.

There's so little difference in it it's not worth a debate.

Carroll's set pieces are better...😂😂

You let the decent stuff you say down with your continuing blind prejudice with stuff like this.

Look forward to the many others who must no doubt agree with you here...anyone? Hello?

Our direct attempts at goal are missing Sigurdsson, but otherwise Carroll is as good if not better at corners and other indirect free kicks that are seeking out a good header.

The real problem is that Llorente is no longer there on the other end of those.

When you hit the wall or 10ft over the bar, Llorente isn't going to help...

Our direct attempts on goal are missing because we allow the opposition to position themselves while we @rse around with the ball. There's no confidence r=there at the moment. We need some fast flowing moves, with and importantly without the ball. Going forward that is!!

Thought Carroll had a poor game today. His free kicks don't have the pace that Siggi's had. I agree though that Llorente is a huge loss. Bony may come good, but didn't win much in the air today.

Anyone that says we aren’t missing the dead ball deliveries of Sigurdsson really needs to pack in watching football because we 100% are.

Saying that I hope we aren’t going to go on about him all season there is more to football than a prick that didn’t want to play for us so fuçk him.

Regardless of the quality of Carroll's delivery or otherwise, we must have had 7 or 8 free kicks today in very similar positions (35-40 yards out) and every single free kick was an identical ball into the box.

How about a little bit of f*cking variation eh?

TC put some good balls in but nobody bust a gut to get a touch, missing Siggy and llorente yes we really are. We are also missing a quality attacking midfielder and have wasted almost 30 million on two midfielders who are much the same as what we had at the club.

I can't believe we are trying to play the same way but without Siggy and Llorente. As it is it looks like we've gone backwards from last season over the summer.

Upthecity!

And that's before considering Siggy put in more of a shift than anyone else.

Darren's right, we should move on. Except one person can't because he's so desperate to be proven right. All a bit sad really.

So yes, of course we are missing him. That's largely down to a failure to replace with like as others have said.

This will be our biggest undoing this season.
We sold Siggy and then we should have used that to bring in an attacking midfielder and winger.....both capable of chipping in with goals.

Instead we bring in Sanches and Clucas. Sanches I am hopeful on but we have not brought extra goal threats in.
Was a shiite window unfortunately.

Siggy was potentially best set piece player in the league last year so the bar has been set pretty high. Big shoes to fill for anyone.

Carroll is the best we have and has got a nice delivery but still well below Gylfi.

We need to find goals elsewhere this season.
