That freekick has been around since the year dot, nothing special about the tactic in the slightest, if you have a bona fide freekick taker most of the time you don't need to trick the defending team.
If you don't have a freekick taker which is inexcusable for a team not too unless they have injuries or suspensions then trying to trick the defence is a good option. |  |
