Just over 1000 to my knowledge....

Wasn't it closer to 1800 for the vote or about 51% of the members voting when even the postage was free?
Remember it being nearly 1300 when a lot of us on here were pushing to stand outside the turnstiles handing out membership forms prior to any vote even being considered let alone taking place.
In fact been pushing that since before the 1st attempt to sell the club (noelle and moored? )
500 now is a hellova difference.
We'll done the trust for pushing a really shitty deal

If you wake up breathing, thats a good start to your day and you'll make many thousands of people envious.

It wasn't a poor deal for the individuals who get voted in year after year and will continue to be able to have drinks with directors in Morgans and whatever other unknown perks they may have been afforded to over the years. And before somebody says that its a democracy and anybody can stand and be voted in, how is this process fair when the calamitous decisions made by the people in charge are not made clear to those outside this forum?

It was a poor deal for the regular fans.

It's interesting that many who voted yes seemingly haven't rejoined? Perhaps they view their work as done.

I'd love to see some good old fashioned honest forthright views from the Trust instead of the waffling, pandering bullshit that's always spouted from them in order to preserve their status as perceived hangers on. It would make such a refreshing change and improve their chances of keeping the damn thing going. As it stands it's meaningless and well and truly past its sell by date in every respect I'm sorry to say. And I do apologise for the frankness here but it needs to be said. Pass it fooking on.

I guess the lowlife impostor sell-out sh#t that masqueraded under the bogus description “supporters-of-the-club” would love to take a cut of the £650,000 PA system deal that has been mentioned in this thread.

I utterly detest the parasites; It is bleeding bloody obvious they have no intent to relinquish Chairman/director titles, financial troughing, director privilege, leeching, VIP titles, spin-offs, perks etc. They would have to be dragged away kicking and screaming from the directors box….. the whole f#cking lot of them. Looks they want to remain in there for the rest of their living days?

Many (surely looks like it...folks!) believe they negotiated sale terms and conditions to cater solely for their greed, ego and outrageous sense of entitlement.

SIX HUNDRED AN FIFTY THOUSAND POUNDS FOR A PA SYSTEM? There is a bog standard one in the link. £8323 U.K Pounds conversion. Do they want a diamond encrusted solid gold one or just one they can fill their f#cking troughs with?

Sadly it's there for all to see. Most fans aren't interested though as they just want to watch football. Others care. And the ones closest to it all don't want to do anything about it. Even after being shafted. Why did Uxbridge for example spend a month on here telling everyone not to vote for legal action when that was the way forward on the advise of a barrister ?

It was better than a fair chance.

But bizarrely then to recommend that the advice which cost around £30,000 was ignored. Why? Really.

I'd understand it if the deal was good. However, it was not, and some aspects of it are so poor that you'd think it was The Trust who had been naughty and were conceding to the Americans.

"A call option where Steve Kaplan and Jason Levien have the right, but not the obligation, to purchase a further 28,500 shares (3%) within the next 2.5 years, at the same price as above."

So presumably the value of the shares will only increase as the TV revenue goes up, yet Steve and Jason can purchase them for the old price if it is good business for them in 2 years time?

Also them not having to buy the other lot of shares if we're relegated. The Trust will be stuck with a useless amount of shares which they will never be able to shift unless the Americans decide to sell up, as they've been forced to agree to tag along rights.

So the organisation created to safeguard the clubs future, who have been gifted shares and money over the years could see their stake sold to somebody like The Venkys or Peter Ridsdale or anybody else the Americans decide to eventually sell to.

It really is bemusing why they were so delighted to agree to such a deal.

The true travesty in all this which does nothing whatsoever for the credibility or honesty of the Trust is that Phil and Godden, to name but 2 on the Trust board read this forum every day.

They read and UNDERSTAND the bitterness evolving and getting worse by the day and do NOTHING to address it.

All that's happened since Stu Macdonald has been SD, and I think this borders on the unforgivable, is that the Trust have become even more closed door and underground than ever before.

They are HIDING behind their safe seats and basically making decisions on behalf of the few, not the many, to steal Corbyn's slogan.

They will say this was a democratic vote and the many spoke out compared to the few. But in reality, the only people that vote, or even engage with the Trust, are a tiny majority of our support and basically hooked into them.

There is no alternative as they have kept the Trust as low profile, boring and distant as humanly possible, and all this while they have practically guaranteed themselves further terms on board culminating in them proposing a deal so biased to one option they've basically hoodwinked the support at large.

This is a self regulating Old Pals Club and it's actually looking pretty sinister when you detail the whole goings on there over the last 10 years or so.

I'm actually quite ashamed of it.

In part (just my theory?) to explain your bemusement at why they would agree a grubby deal like that?

Are certain Trust members far more emotionally closer to, far more loyal to, far more biased towards, far more answerable to, far more subservient to the likes of Jenkins, Morgan and Co than they would ever admit?

I mean? All the previous sh#t that has gone on with the utter betrayal and disrespect. But yet! A glaringly obvious lack of any real anger. The 'knitting and crochet' sub-committee of the local Women’s Institute would show more fight, spirit and aggression!

All of that seems fairly obvious though. There's a lot more to it. For certain. Some we know about don't we and more we don't. But they're still making the same mistakes after all this.

I would not disagree with that theory either. The trust is now not even a shadow of its former self ..... its even worse, it's become a mirage of a shadow of its former self.

Interesting to know how long current members of the Board have held positions on the Board.

Maximum term in my view should be 3 years. Then if anything untoward ever happens the next person uncovers the issue in timely fashion. Puts people off doing untoward things. Good governance in my view and forces fresh blood being introduced to the Board.

For some reason I always thought it was 2 years, clearly not.
