We didn't get any fee for him. The £2m only covered what we owed him for the remainder of his original signing on fee.
Gomis on 17:11 - Oct 15 with 5413 views | JesusJack | Yet another square peg for our round holes unearthed by our t'riffic scouting team and top class DoF. Many of our fans completely forget that good spell of a few months he had where he was banging them in. After that, Messi would have struggled to score we were so slow going forward. Still a mercenary, though.

Gomis on 22:27 - Oct 15 with 5141 views | Rancid | He's done well since he's left which is unusual at Swansea.A good player who suffered here from not getting the right service. His offside record was usually a result from him playing right on the edge of the last mans shoulder but the ball played to him not timed right.Shelvey quite often. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

A good half of them were simple laziness not getting back onside from an earlier attack. Most of the others were trying to go early because he didn't have the pace to beat PL defences.

I know what you're saying and that did stand out once he became addicted to being offside.A player as good as he obviously is should be given the respect to play how he wants and his teamates should allow and compromise for this.He wasn't pacy so why so many balls were played through to him whilst in an offside position is as big a failing by the passer of the ball as Gomis was trying to collect it.
Gomis on 04:27 - Oct 16 with 4972 views | Dr_Winston | Continual offsides are something that could have been worked on by a decent coach. For most of the time he was a first team regular here we didn't have one. They are a hazard of the trade for a player of his style though. Jermaine Defoe used to be offside even more if memory serves.
| Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back. |

I think his "trouble" was that he made good runs early but we didn't have a similarly quick minded midfielder to pass him the ball when he needed it.

Gomis on 10:46 - Oct 16 with 4749 views | jack247 | He wasn’t suited to top level football. Put him in France or Turkey or Holland and he does well. He probably got more stick than he deserved about being offside. When he had Shelvey threading balls through he was making clever runs and was a genuine goal threat. He didn’t really adapt properly when teams realised crowding Shelvey out stopped him. Without wanting to start another ‘black player lazy’ debate, a lot of his offsides towards the end were due to laziness.

Its amazing on how many times Defoe gets/got away with being offside to, remember two of his goals against us at the Liberty when he played for Sunderland, shocking officiating.
