Last month I was on holiday on a train to Denver. talking to a guy from Kentucky about this gun thing. I said we Brits couldnt really understand why they have so many guns. He replied with the self defence argument and told me about various practice ranges he had practised at. He recommended I look for footage of the Knob Creek range night shoot. These are individuals, mind its not an army session.
Awful news. When will they learn that the guns laws need to be changed ? Not that you can legislate for a nutter like this but still.
As long as the American gun lobby stays as strong as it is the laws would never change.
It is run and funded by the big armaments companies who intern pay millions of dollars to keep politicians in their pockets… that's just the way it is something that will never change…

Knob creek is probably a very appropriate name, although I would have gone with tw@t valley.

Well when you have nutters like Wayne La Pierre at the head of the NRA who makes Charlton Heston (whose was the previous President of the NRA) look like a screaming liberal, then you will never have change over here. In Wayne's crazy world , after the Sandy Hook massacre he advocated arming teachers and his argument is a good guy with a gun 'trumps' (excuse the pun) a bad guy with a gun.
Unfortunately with people like loopy Wayne and his followers like Dana Loesh who is the female version of Wayne, you will always have these events as they value the right of Amerincans to own a gun over the rights of human beings to live than to have their lives being ended by a deranged lunatic with an arsenal of weapons that would put a small African country to shame.
The crazy thing is they call the UK uncivilized for not having American type of gun rights and gun laws, uncivilized Mr La Pierre is a country that has over 17,000 guns deaths a year. I live here, but the gun thing always blows my mind every time an event like this happens here. As I said before I understand to have a handgun as protection or a rifle or shotgun for hunting or wildlife control, but to have an AR-15 or an AK-47 is just pure insanity.
its ridiculous how little the US government cares about this. If they did they would be able to pass some laws to attempt to stim the tide of dangerous weapons of war to people who have a history in violence.
This newest lad was court martialed for domestic violence on his wife and young child, and spent a year in military prison.
