I notice he's advertising he's bringing a group of Den Haag fans over for the next home match. After the furore raised on here last time and questions asked by posters, Mr Uxbridge said he'd escalate issues surrounding the concerns (as a representative of the Trust) if indeed they were found to be accurate. Unfortunately I cannot remember the outcome of the situation. Was anything needing to be escalated and is Mr Zweden acting in a fully transparent and decent way by bringing these fans over?

Let's get some perspective on this as Darren's clearly got an issue with JvZ and we know what Darren's like when he's on one against someone.
As someone else has said, I doubt whether JvZ was really asked if he wanted to sell, but even if he was, it's a life-changing sum of money for him and his family. If someone offered me £5m never to watch the Swans again, I'd send them my account details immediately, no matter how much I love the Swans. I could look after my family forever with that money. Life changing for so many people.
JvZ did not instigate the sale and basically had little choice but to go along with it, even though there's no way he would have turned the money down, of course. I actually haven't spoken to JvZ since the sale simply because I believe he knew about the sale before the Trust and never said a thing, but I can understand why he did this. He isn't totally innocent, but he's nowhere near as guilty as HJ and LD.
Finally, the Dutch lads have been coming to Swansea since the Vetch days and I'm glad they do. They don't just do the glamour games and they go to our home and away games. I hope the club are helping them get tickets as they'll still be coming to games when we're back in a league or two below where we are now. Or do we say, "you can bring hundreds of fans a few time a year, but not when we're in the PL"? If there are seats available, let them come!! |  |

Agree that he was absolutely stupid for writing some of the things he wrote, but some of our fans have been dull in equal measures. I don't think JvZ does "subtle" very well and never has.
JvZ should never have been the target of the abuse (the other 2 should have) but I understand how some/many couldn't see that.....and it's also very hard to hide your frustrations or anger when it involves something (like the Swans) that so important to so many of us. | |
