Didn't do the Tate although we know it's been re opened but Mrs GJ is not as mobile as we would like.
Porthmeor was to big and messy to surf.
We sampled all the major Cornish food groups...
Rations from now to Christmas for me.
Hayle was much the same as last year..

The Merryn Hotel is a good place to stay. Leisure time stay there on their trips to St.Ives. Rooms are okay, but food is tremendous there. Nice lounge with nightly entertainment, usually sixties stuff or a bit of C&W. | | | |

Aye St Ives is a great place, though the Sea gulls are thugs. Like avian Peaky Blinders. Father in law had his ice cream stolen in the harbour. |  |

Agree with that. Had 2 holidays in Carbis Bay near St Ives, then 2 at Sennen Cove. Sennen is magical. Water is crystal clear. | |

It’s generally a fantastic part of the world. All of the places that Dicky reeled off a magnificent and during off peak season I think you’ve got to travel a long way to beat them.
As for St Ives itself, an afternoon pint outside The Sloop Inn whilst watching the tide is probably in my top ten list of things to do. |  |

Went back last year for the first time in over 20 years. Found it disappointing. Masses of people and more like Blackpool than the quaint place that I remembered. | | | |
