Countdown to the end of Democracy in the UK 23:28 - Nov 10 with 750386 viewspikeypaul

And like a typical anti democracy remoaner he decided the will of the people should be ignored the minute the democratic result was in total fecking hypocrite 😂😂😂😂😂😂

Despite it being voted in to law by the commons the spineless two faced remoaner MPs have totally abandoned any morals and decided to ignore the will of the British people.

It will be remembered and no election or referendum will ever be the same again in this country.

The one thing that will come is a massive surge in the popularity of UKIP or a similar party in the future who stand for the 52%.

Happy Days.

If elected it’ll be interesting to see what their brexit policy is. Or indeed what any of their policies are.

Yes but they are keeping all options on the table so they could also simultaneously go for a jobs last Brexit that works for no-one. Or a jobs in the middle Brexit that works for half the people. Or a Brexit first job that everyone can work. Or a work first job that everyone can brexit.

That would be the "no brexit" brexit.

An option thats growing in popularity since the Brexiteers can't decide what Brexit they want despite insisting all 17.4 million of them voted for exactly the same thing apparently.

It’s interesting that the polling is showing different outcomes for the EU elections and general voting intentions. The suggestion is that people are perceiving Labour as a second referendum party for the EU elections at present.

They need to stop sitting on the fence in the next couple of weeks and declare for a second referendum (or not). If they do, they will win hugely in the EU elections and may do well in a general election. If they do not, the votes will go elsewhere in the EU elections and they won’t be able to form a government (as they’ll need the SNP to do so which won’t happen unless they support remain or 2nd vote). Lot of talk that Corbyn is on verge of being switched to support second referendum as he’s been made aware it’s the only chance for him.

The EU election manifesto will be telling.

Corbyn will be the Prime Minister in waiting if he only utters the words " we must have a confirmatory referendum on any brexit deal agreed by whichever government is in power"

Yep.

As I’ve said before, I can’t stand him, but i’ll vote for him to prevent Brexit. I take the view that he can’t do anywhere near enough stupid stuff in four years as Brexit will do in the ten or so it’ll take to be overturned.

We need a GE for Corbyn to become PM and all the Tories and DUP who have zero confidence in Theresa May will vote in parliament that they have full confidence in her.

Do you live in a marginal constituency if you don't mind me asking?

On a purely electoral basis, I see the best route available for Labour to win a general election is by galvanising remainer votes.

No. Andy Slaughter (Labour) has a large majority.

He’s not a Corbyn lover, nor a brexit lover. Nice guy as well (although I didn’t vote for him last time, I voted LibDem due to Brexit). My vote will matter far more in the EU elections (i’ll vote Change unless Labour decide on a second referendum (or revoke!) under any circumstance in which case i’ll vote Labour).

But yes, I agree completely. We are in a very strong remain part of London as well. With a very mixed, multicultural community. Who’d have thought experience of living in a diverse community would make people so in favour of it...

Top post.

Its that simple.

During the recent series of mp votes, somebody said the ball was rolling over the line and all Jezza had to do was kick it in the net, instead the silly bastard stopped it and then dribbled back to the half way line. This Jezza factor means it is unlikely to be as simple as it should be.

The annoying thing is he wants to facilitate Brexit as well as implement a whole tonne of "socialist" policies and he thinks he can do both. My worry is he will do the classic left wing thing of not compromising on anything and ending up with nothing.

But that is precisely why he was voted in. Twice. You can’t elect a guy with a massive landslide based on his lifelong passionate principles of socialist policies and euroscepticism then complain because he wants socialist policies and brexit.

I can’t understand why people are still surprised by his apathy towards remain when he’s wanted brexit for about forty years.

He was not elected leader for his euro-skepticism. That's completely false.

No but that’s who he is. That was the package that was voted on. His opposition to the European project wasn’t a massive secret.

Yeah the remain and reform brigade is still going strong, but the chances of them reforming are about as slim as an anorexic stick insect.

Er, how do you think he can implement his whole tonne of socialist policies without faciliating Brexit? Much of what he would like to do is contrary to the fundamental freedoms of the Single Market that we don't talk about because everyone focuses on goods and people.

Faciliating Brexit actually allows him to do what he wants.
