India in no rush https://www.politico.eu/article/india-no-rush-to-do-bilateral-trade-deal-with-po

It’s not that trade with India doesn’t matter but the much discussed Indian trade deal is worth circa £2bn. That’s less than half of Wales’s trade with Germany.

It basically says firms are happier that we delay leaving until December 2020 as opposed to leaving in March 2019

That might all have something to do with May going over there fishing for deals and then telling them to feck off when they asked for improved access of movement to the uk. Can’t have more little asian chaps and chapesses running around as it might upset the Tory core voters.

Thid could still be posturing, but it makes sense from their side to prioritise the EU.

No need to thank me. Rule Britannia!

Johnny foreigner is not in the Oxford English Dictionary but is a rude term for a foreigner. Rum-johnny is in the 1870s dictionary of Anglo-Indian words and phrases called Hobson-Jobson, where it has two meanings. The first is a corruption of the first name Ramazani (meaning one born during the month of Ramadan) and is defined as "a low class of native servants who plied on the wharves of Calcutta in order to obtain employment from new-comers". The second meaning was 'prostitute', from the Hindustani ramjani and Sanskrit rama-jani, which translate as 'pleasing woman' or 'dancing girl'.

Can you imagine it that on the day this is supposed to happen, relations between the west and Russia totally collapse to the point of no return and escalations in the middle east see the first tactical nuclear weapons used with massive losses of life. Hours later Trump retaliates by launching ICBM's at Russia and from there it goes really tits up.

But we've got brexit innit?

The Earth could be hit by a giant asteroid or super volcanoes triggering a mass extinction event that will destroy humanity and 90% of all life on this planet. It’s not just likely, it is inevitable. Shall we postpone all future political decisions because everything might go tits up one day?
