OUT WITH A DEAL EATING OUR CAKE AND LOVING IT suck it up remoaners

And like a typical anti democracy remoaner he decided the will of the people should be ignored the minute the democratic result was in total fecking hypocrite 😂😂😂😂😂😂

Despite it being voted in to law by the commons the spineless two faced remoaner MPs have totally abandoned any morals and decided to ignore the will of the British people.

It will be remembered and no election or referendum will ever be the same again in this country.

The one thing that will come is a massive surge in the popularity of UKIP or a similar party in the future who stand for the 52%.

Happy Days.

So the fact that the President of port Boulogne Calais may have an interest in downplaying the risks of things grinding to a halt post Brexit has nothing to do with his assessment?

Truth is, no one knows for sure the extent of the disruption on November 1st - but one thing's for sure it's not in the UKs hands at all. The extent and depth of Customs Checks are entirely down to our European counterparts. So much for taking back control.

Given that on day one of Brexit we will be in regulatory alignment with the EU this could be used to justify a light-touch approach to customs checks. But the moment EU or Uk regulations diverge then a stronger approach to checks will be adopted. So, if we're good boys and girls and simply ape EU directives, then we may be allowed to get away with a light touch inspection regime. So much for taking back control. On the other hand, given the nature of WTO rules, the EU can't give us any favours and will have the Americans breathing down their necks if they are seen to be giving the UK more favourable treatment that the US. So a tough inspection regime may be judged to be a matter of legal necessity by the EU, even if they would otherwise prefer a gentler approach.

No one can confidently predict how a no deal Brexit will play out in the short term - but we know for sure that it won't take long for the effects of a no deal Brexit to bite on certain key sectors - not least the beef and lamb sectors in Wales. Over 90% exports going to the EU and facing effective tariff rates of 50% will key that export trade dead. Then there's car and chemical industries. Happy to sacrifice all these are we to achieve a laughably illusory "taking back of control"? Moronic.

No people have had enough of so called experts who have been parachuted into certain positions of influence pretending not to be ideological driven and masquerading as being independent.

He's in charge of running the port, not customs.

The French embassy advice surely trumps his?

and beyond saying it's BullSh!t, what details does he give to dispel his previous fears?

On one hand, the single market and customs union is protectionist, yet on the other, 3rd country status countries apparently will have the same access to it as member states?

He's just defending the position of the Port of Calais. He's concerned that the UK are looking at other routes to alleviate problems which wouldn't be in Calais' interest. He believes that Brexit is sheer madness.

The Earth is moving because of the effects of gravity from the Sun/moon/the other planets and all the mass in the universe. A vote to stop the effects of gravity would be a vote to stop the Earth from spinning/moving.

The vote would not affect inertia nor angular momentum.

Then we should have a second vote to make sure people knew what they were voting for.

From what he says you believe that on 1st November there will be no delays in either direction, no checks of passports, no checks on goods in lorries, no request for extra documentation which, i'd imagine all 3rd countries have to provide for sending goods into the EU. We seem to be spending an awful lot of money preparing for something which is, apparently, going to have no effect at all.

You seem to have great faith in Jean-Marc.
