OUT WITH A DEAL EATING OUR CAKE AND LOVING IT suck it up remoaners

And like a typical anti democracy remoaner he decided the will of the people should be ignored the minute the democratic result was in total fecking hypocrite 😂😂😂😂😂😂

Despite it being voted in to law by the commons the spineless two faced remoaner MPs have totally abandoned any morals and decided to ignore the will of the British people.

It will be remembered and no election or referendum will ever be the same again in this country.

The one thing that will come is a massive surge in the popularity of UKIP or a similar party in the future who stand for the 52%.

Happy Days.

Apparently only 37% of Italians see Eu membership as a good thing but that is a long way from a majority wanting to leave.

Matteo Salvini things Italians are moving towards leaving but he would! I don't know how anyone could carry out a poll right now, aren't there bigger things for Italy to worry about.

Just my opinion, but WTF do I know anyway?

This article names a few, if it’s accurate all told there appear to be about 9 countries who only trade on WTO with no trade deals. Monaco is prosperous, DT of the others are the complete opposite and very poor or corrupt countries.

WTO is a temporary thing while deals are done but honestly, do we need to go over it all again?
The argument/debate is done, we have left and that is why this thread should be laid to rest.

Pikey’s grasp of WTO rules is probably on a par with Paul Merson’s knowledge of quantum mechanics.

Well actually Cat, yes we do. Why should those who "won" an argument insist upon everyone coming together just because?

I hope that it all works out and a part of me thinks it will as trade is trade, however this dross about "loving being out" without any substantial plan (and Liz fúcking Truss working on deals) is worrying.

Yes trade is trade. And we don’t need to be part of a political union to sell and buy shit off each other. The Minoans worked that out four millennia ago.

The creatures outside looked from pig to man, and from man to pig, and from pig to man again; but already it was impossible to say which was which.

Did try to listen to Barnier on Sky but it was so torturous and slumber inducing that they eventually switched to Drakeford to inject a bit of dynamism.

Temporary doesn't have a numerical value.

You could easily take a generation or two to agree a trade deal, possibly never. If we have worst case scenario of WTO rules we could temporarily be stuck with it infinitely.

Brexiteers, give yourselves another pat on the back.

Mmm that’s not quite true is it

If a shop said it was temporarily closing for stock taking on Wednesday but would reopen on Thursday - then the number would be 1 day.

You could argue that infinity does not have a number as, just for example, in the phrase “infinitely bitter”

That's beyond doubt, HJ. The problem is this whole "deal or no deal" is naive at best and calculated self harm at worst.

Ffs, anyone with half a brain cell can see that this needs more time given the situation we are in.

Perhaps, but then nothing focuses the mind and attention like a looming and final deadline. Remember back to those halcyon days where you’ve got to hand an assignment in to your tutor by Tuesday or you’ll fail the course. You got it done in time. If the tutor had said “there’s no rush, hand it in when you want“ you’d be up the student union necking pints and numerous Swedish birds until the cows come home.

An assignment deadline is a little less complex than a trade deal, I like the analogy but still!
