Just a temporary arrangement at the moment but it’s good news for British cheese and scotch whiskey. The EU and US are still at loggerheads throwing tariffs at each other willy nilly and we wouldn’t have been able to come to this arrangement if it was not for the fact we left.

Kilkenny, this is a Unionist thing, they are not happy with the arrangements forced on them by the EU, can you see that. The way this arrangement is, is because of the EU.
The EU claimed they wanted to protect the GFA but their deal is threatening it.
Of course we saw how much they really cared when their vaccine plan was rolled out but international condemnation meant a quick U turn.
The time has come for all Irish to decide what they want. Give them a vote, ket them decide if they want to be unified or not. But tell them if they remain as Eire and NI inside the UK a hard border between the two is inevitable.
It seems to me things are moving fast, the problems created by Brexit and the even bigger problems because of covid are forcing things forward. Everyone needs to decide what they want.
Maybe the best way forward is a unified Ireland; Scotland and Wales given their votes and we see the outcome and live with it? But the rules have be drawn up, people have to accept a vote now means the result stands for 50 years and it's written into the law so nobody can play silly sods afterwards.
Maybe the best thing for all of us is to go federal? To give all home nations more powers over themselves with an agreed set of over arching rules administered by an elected committee, a small national ruling body (no house of Lords) and an English Parliament. Cooperation on defence and health, on financial regulations but otherwise we all rule ourselves day to day?

I am not big on the EU, but you are distorting things. The EU didn’t break the contract, they introduced legislation which could be used to block exports but the EU itself didn’t block this shipment, the Italian Government blocked the shipment. Australia has actually asked the EU to review the Italian decision, but Aussie PM understands why the Italian Government took the action they did.
Whether the EU use the vaccine or not is their business and if they don’t they should be held to account by the politicians and population, my concern is what’s happening here.
