Leon Britton's Future 09:01 - Nov 17 with 2552 viewstheloneranger

Interesting interview with Leon on Radio Wales this morning.

When questioned about his playing future, he spoke about his contract ending this season and at 35 he would consider whether to retire or not.

He then said if he decided to carry on playing and there was no offer on the table from the Swans, THEN he would consider playing elsewhere!!

Everyday above ground ... Is a good day! 😎

Hope it's a local club so he can carry on with his non-coaching coaching job.

If results don’t pick up quickly he’ll be managing us

i thought his contract had a 1yr extension - subject to appearances threshold; which explains his eagerness to get game time

if Ki is unavailable then Leon is prob our best option - as per last season's run-in - play him for 55-60 mins to establish momentum etc - nurture those around him - esp Mesa

Newport County

Britts would be ideal to organise the County midfield, if Clement isn't going to use him on the pitch he'd be a handy loan signing whilst still being able to carry on developing any coaching and management ambitions he may have.

Rodney Parade even sems to have a half decent playing surface for the moment since the recent work done on it.

He’ll be manager by tomorrow morning if we lose today.

Eye contact certainly isn’t his thing. He doesn’t strike me as having leadership qualities to be honest. Perhaps that’s why he excels as an assistant but struggles when in charge.

Shall I send off a letter suggesting such a move?
For some reason SCFC listen to my plans.

Just as I thought things couldn't get any worse. But Leon as our manager on Monday morning is suddenly feeling a very real possibility.

No.

Send one suggesting they bring in a proven manager.
