Merthyr Town on 17:31 - Nov 17 with 6602 views | SgorioFruit | I’ve only now seen this news. Shocking and sad. I really hope they turn things around up there. We have our own issues here at Swansea but imagine 80% of our playing staff being made redundant. Money is killing football. Good luck to Merthyr in their quest to get this mess sorted. Sad news. The WPL calling ? European nights calling ? In reality, Football League is simply never ever going to happen.

I’m still failing to see why they would want to join the WPL mate.

Well i guess nobody really gives a shit who they play below Conference level. People might be more interested in Merthyr vs TNS, vs Bangor, vs Barry ? Plus European football every year ? Be good for WPL ?

WPL? European nights calling? You mean an annual ritual humiliation in the first qualifying round by a pub team from a country so small that we've never heard of it? Just like all the other qualifying WPL teams accept every year | | | | Login to get fewer ads
Merthyr Town on 12:13 - Nov 18 with 6083 views | swans11 | went to couple of games there last season was close getting promoted lost play offs. they are only 2 leagues below the conference or whatever it's called now much better than Welsh league although if in money troubles might have to start all over again from bottom

Me too I always catch a couple of Merthyr games every season and even lobbed in a small bit of sponsorship last season. I found the running of the club to be totally shambolic however, including my dealings with the ex employee now suing them for unfair dismissal plus some of the other clowns who have left in the last year who were laughingly termed as administrators. Hardly a surprise given the number of labour party representatives associated with the club.

Merthyr Town on 17:13 - Nov 18 with 5868 views | SgorioFruit | Quote Chesham Twitter. The young lads of merthyr have been excellent second half with tremendous celebrations when they scored the goal keeper running the length of the field to congratulate goalscorer flour. This is the spirit we are looking for at the club at merthyr

Merthyr Town on 22:31 - Nov 19 with 5601 views | SgorioFruit | I wonder... Seeing as both Merthyr and Swans have partnerships with our academies, could we send up some of our young lads to play for them this season.

I was told that they would play for a month, but wanted settling up after that. So not for free. From a very good source.
