RIP Rodney Bewes 19:49 - Nov 21 with 2915 viewssP7qupUf

What a sad loss. Great comic actor and one half of the hilarious Likely Lads. Along with James Bollom and Brigit Forsyth he provided me with much laughter and joy.

Bloody hell I watched an episode of The Likely Lads last night that I had on the Q Box.
Then I did a bit of googling and found out that James Bolam hadn’t spoken to him for over forty years over a joke.

Loved Likely Lads

Introduced to Geordie humour as a kid in Margam working with lads from Reyrolle

Geordie humour is great

Newcastle a fantastic city

They were a great pair and the classic football commentary programme a classic

So very sad, will remember him as Bob Ferris in The Likely Lads-what a shame him and James Bolam fell out so badly. These things seem so pointless, but it can’t be put right now. Sad.

"Yossarian- the very sight of the name made him shudder. There were so many esses in it. It just had to be subversive" (Catch 22)

Enjoyed the Likely Lads and he delivered well.

Heard however that he was not easy to work with. Quite the opposite in fact.

Oh well Darran, at least you admit it was just a joke.
