Garry Monk on 18:06 - Dec 5 with 4217 views | Wingstandwood | Monk? The troublemaker!... The impostor!... The instigator of previous dressing room turmoil/training pitch unrest and the guy in part (Jenkins also) responsible for destroying SCFC’s much revered and acclaimed style. Monk? The guy that employed the most preposterous managerial team ever to poison a Premier League club! Ladies and gentlemen may I reveal to you........... Kristian O’ Leary: The eternal club limpet, employed from Neath Town to become a walking disaster as SCFC’s U21’s coach....To then?..... Get promoted to have exactly the same (utterly cr#p!) effect and end results with a Premier League first team. Never worked in professional football since his sacking. SCFC the only full time professional club that ever wanted to give him a contract and pay him a long term wage! James Beattie: Currently (not again!) ruining Middleborough with Monk after Leeds United’s failure to get promotion. Pep Clotet: The guy with a ‘comedy CV’ that’s beyond surreal?....FFS how many more clubs will he go to, he seems to be going through one a year?....Well worth a read i.e. how can someone so cr@p and incompetent steal a living like that? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pep_Clotet [Post edited 5 Dec 2017 18:14]

Garry Monk on 18:20 - Dec 5 with 4141 views | Dr_Winston | Can't help but think his managerial career would have been better served if he hadn't agitated himself into the job here well before he was competent to carry out a job as big as one in the Premier League. Grade A stupidity from both him and Jenkins there. Obvious at the time, even more so in hindsight.

Possibly in the very long term, but I don't think he would have walked into two Championship clubs had he not managed us in the Premier League, and let's face it, to our highest ever finish in the Premier League...if you ignore the football side of things. I bet he's made a pretty penny over the past 3 years or so. [Post edited 5 Dec 2017 18:29]

Aye, the ungrateful f#cking cow! She should have thanked her lucky stars that 'her-Gary' undeservedly got a job he was unqualified to get. That was his reward for running back and fore like a teachers pet to Jenkins. And the high finish in his 1st season was solely down to the Laudrup legacy and pretty damn decent squad he inherited from him. Put him in charge with the squad we've got now!

Garry Monk on 19:15 - Dec 5 with 3873 views | swancity | And back to reality. Monk is a good young manager who got us an 8th place finish, our highest ever in the Premier League with some incredible results along the way including a double over Manchester Utd. Then went to Leeds and got them up to their highest league position for around 15 years. Coincidence? I think not. Now at the dump that is Middlesboro. A Club that seem to think they have a right to challenging in the top three. Why? After saying all of that, it's accepted that he did change our playing style. It's his centre back mentality shining through. It gets results though and I'm sure he'll do well at Boro given time.

And then truth and logic kicked in that our league position was down to the quality squad and wonderful playing style he inherited, then dismantled and failed. Absolute leach who grabs onto the coat tails of better managers. He's being found out and will end up a lower league manager.

Of course Jenkins had a major part to play but who was the prick running to him and stabbing Laudrup in the back ? who was the guy upsetting other players and causing the drift who formed the clique that saw most of our team leave once he became manager. Who was the guy who instead of being moved on loan to Bristol pretended he had a back injury so he could stay in the thick of the stirring ? He made the bullets, Jenkins fired them. I'm not saying Jenkins has no responsibility he hired him, but only after a long and persistant brown nosing by Monk, who took a leave out of the Martinez book when dealing with Jacket, did the same with Laudurp . Decent player for us in the lower leagues, great captain but his ego wrote cheques his ability as a man and a manager couldn't cash . Monk got into Laudrup straight away, on the USA tour he led a group of players to almost revolt against the manager, "training methods" etc, strange how the stories in the press started dissapearing after he and tate, taylor left, of course a 5-0 win against QPR and 3=0 against West Ham later and he looked a fool ! i think this made Garry more determined to be proven right and he went on a quest to undermine his manager further. So yeah, he ruined us

Seems about right. It's a shame Monk's failings as a human being will overshadow his considerable achievements as a player and club captain.
