Noticed Planet Swans twitter saying there are rumours of there being no funds in Jan.

I can see it now. Mawson going for £20m, we sign two lads from the championship £6m a piece.

Maybe add Ki to the for-sale list

at least finally the ordinary fan will realise exactly what the sale has meant. all we have heard for the last few windows is we need to spend big at the next one. there is the belief that these guys have money to spend when we need them too, perhaps even jenkins thought that ;) perhaps seeing no money spent will finally get people to wake up (albeit too late)

Well I have heard in good authority that there was no plan with the manager, we have to buy to sell with Mawson most likely to go and no signings lined up.

I don’t really know how to put this, and which words to use which would best put my point across correctly so I’ll just say it.

If what you’re saying is correct, then I hope we get relegated. We are bottom of the net spend table as it is, if we need to sell to buy in January then the sooner we take the fall, the sooner we can start live within our means again, with an added bonus of them yank tw*ts losing cash. We, as a club, are not big enough or have wealthy enough owners to survive in this league and each year we stay here things will just get worst.

A rumour I seen the other day was Mesa back to Spain in January.

Continually being banned by Planet Swans for Porthcawl and then being reinstated.

Would anyone actually be upset if we have to sell Mawson for £20m to raise funds? He's got potential but by the time he reaches it we could be in League One.

If we do spend in January it has to be on players that could contribute in the Championship next season. We're not going to get top players on club-friendly contracts in our position. It's a sad reality, but the only way to begin regaining financial security.

If we did have money in January we'd spend it on a poor lower league club who claim to have the next Gazza.Hes the only type of player who'd sign a contract.Anyone wanting to play in the PL will give us a big swerve unless it's a loan.Exeter are still dining out on Matt Grimes' dosh.Phuck knows what's going on up in Falkirk but they are opening a Casino and a Zoo and plans have gone in for a Waitrose.

Sell him ASAP before his stock hits the deck.He hasn't got any better this season either and nothing like the goal threat he was last season.Spend the money right, stay up and every Apple's a rosy one.

Sell Mawson? They're even getting people to think like the money men they are. Very sad.

I'd rather we kept our promising young players, keep the core of the team together and only sell them if we have to. Not volunteer them away. It's not like we've got a whole lot of these younger, decent players to work with.

Certainly not. I’d be appointing an experienced manager and asking them for their views on what we needed. Quaint, I know.

I think the Yanks have been very stupid here. They believed in the Jenkins hype. He could run the club on a shoestring. They could buy the ground and with increasing revenues, sell on at a profit so all 27 of them are quids in. After all Jenkins is so good at sourcing players and managers they could make a few quid there as well by selling the best and bringing in bargain replacements. So they thought....
I can't believe posters are actually buying into this and saying we should continue to sell our players.
I also can't believe some think we are not worthy of the Premier League as we are too small. Stoke, Southampton, Burnley, Watford, Brighton, Bournemouth, WBA etc etc will tell you differently.
We were going about our business the right way until Jenkins decided he was a football messiah and hastily sold to line his pockets.
Get him out of the club and get a DOF that has the same mindset as him before ML's sacking and there is no reason why we could not survive. Even with the millstone of the Hedge Funders hanging around our neck, but preferably without.

With you why so many fans care about money when it isn't ours?

Of the £80m or do from sales over the summer, half was wasted and half to pay for our greedy ones and their incompetence. I suspect we'll sell again in Jan with some bullshit the majority of our naive fans will accept. When the Trust is shouting 'Trust the Board' on TV who can blame them.
Our club is an utter disgrace and nothing would suprise me. Sell Mawson, Mesa and anyone else left worth £10m and get a few Falkirk reserves in over our £20m waste of space academy, that again lined directors pockets.

I would hate the fact that Huw and co get another slab of dosh BUT 20m for Mawson.............it is a yes from me.

The worry is, only half would be spent on the players we need.

I can see Mawson and Ki going to West Ham with Ayew and cash coming the other way, probably about £12M-£14M.

Wanting to sell Mawson in January is utterly bizarre whether you like him or not.

He's our first choice centre half alongside Fernandez and if we sold him, we would have one injury prone back up in Bartley to cover FF or VDH.

I personally think he's a decent centre half and defence is the least of our problems.

Absolutely spot on. He us a very decent centre half with leadership qualities.
We have many problems in our team but defence is not one of them. This despite them having to work much harder due to the clusterfurk going on in front of them.
