Because it’s politicians who make the nominations and they make sure their mates get something.

Swansea Indepenent Poster Of The Year 2021. Dr P / Mart66 / Roathie / Parlay / E20/ Duffle was 2nd, but he is deluded and thinks in his little twisted brain that he won. Poor sod. We let him win this year, as he has cried for a whole year. His 14 usernames, bless his cotton socks.

I read earlier that the last five MPs for Sheffield Hallam have now been knighted. Strange stat just for one constituency isn't it? Coincidence or is there more going on?

By entertaining the nation. I see a clearer argument for them rather than the politicians.

It's a pointless and largely harmless exercise that two entirely different groups of people get worked up about for two entirely different reasons.

Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

Yes - i think his famous humanitarian work, for which he was knighted, pre dated him standing up for ‘the cause’.

Hanged as a traitor.
Alledgedly a gay man as well.

I am sure you are far more impressed with the first elected female MP- one Countess Constance de Markievicz

Anyone feeling nostalgic want to remember any favourite past Knights of the Realm? Just wondering. Sir Jimmy Savile was a good one. Philip Green too. Edward Heath was a diamond, and you have to love what Sir Richard Branson is doing with the NHS too. British values eh. Loverly.

Not really, Killy. I always find myself in admiration of those who meet their end unrepentant, with honour, even if that cause is not my own. Casement being a case in point, I suppose.

If I were Irish of that time, which I am not, I would doubtless have found myself in sympathy with the Collins faction, in which case the good 'lady' would have happily put a bullet in my head.
