If it's right that his contract expires in June 2019 & won't sign a new one until he knows which league we are in then I'd fully expect the board to accept anything north of £20M + add ons & use those facts to justify the decision.
If/when we go down & he enters last year of contract that value starts dropping.
More interesting point would be IF sold how much of the £££s would be spent. |  | | |
