Jordan has scored 3 goals this season, Gylfi has scored 8. Jordan 1 in league, 2 in league cup. Gylfi 3 in league, 1 in FA cup, 1 Europa league and 3 for Iceland. [Post edited 5 Jan 2018 23:09]

Not great, clearly. Although due to his age, nationality and experience - his value will not depreciate as much as an aging foreign flop will thankfully. Ask Borja.

Ayew has scored 3 in league 2 in cup with 2 assists before this weekend. Siggy 4 goals 3 assists, also take into consideration siggy takes a fair share of free kicks and corners.

Goals for country doesn't really help the club he is employed by. Moot point. You are clearly pining over the man due to what he could bring to us, not Iceland. Ayew has 5. 3 in the League, 2 in the Cup. Sigurdsson has 5. 3 in the League. 2 in the Cup. Turns out they have the same. What a player we have.

International goals help transfer value. Gylfi has scored 8 times so far this season, everyone from open play and Gylfi is a midfielder, Gylfi has also provided assists and tracked back to help the defence, Ayew is a forward player.

Don't be ridiculous. If Ayew had scored 9 for Ghana you would not be counting International goals and we both know it. We are talking about club contribution here as common sense suggests we should. They have remarkably similar records this season, and that is with Gylfi taking all the set pieces giving himself more chances to score and in a far more attacking team than ours. But far more fun to fawn over other peoples players than credit our own. The fact Gylfi isn't here has allowed Jordan to get into these positions as predicted would happen.

Of course I would count international goals, midfielder outscores a forward player is a measure of how good Gylfi is and how much we miss him, if we had Gylfi this season we would have an awful lot more points on the board.

Yes, because every time he has scored this season there’s been a thread started on him when in fact he’s not doing any better than one of our own players. And trampie, come on now, surely you’re not saying that Ayew is an attacking player and Siggy isn’t?

Jordan Ayew cost a maximum of £5M plus Neil Taylor, Gylfi cost £45M.

Yep and if you cant see why then you are an utter moron. If only we had a player to be so amazing he could score 5 for us this season like the player we fawn over ever week has done for his club....

Ayew is no more a forward player than Gylfi, their attacking positions are almost negligible.

Gylfi covered more ground than any other player in the Premier League last season, Gylfi was deep in his own half defending when he scored tonight he bust a gut to go box to box. [Post edited 5 Jan 2018 23:58]

Covering more ground? What does that mean? Ayew has covered more ground than any Swans player hasnt he? What is your point?

What’s your point? Ayew has 84.5% pass completion, Siggy 78.3%. Ayew has won 0.9 aerial battles, Siggy 0.8. Ayew 2 motm, Siggy 1 motm. Ayew 1.6 shots per game, Siggy 1.5 spg Ayew 1.7 dribbles per game, Siggy 0.6 drb I’m not suggesting for one minute Ayew is better than Siggy, but Siggy has done nothing this season that one of our own hasn’t, and certainly nothing that justifies the pining for him.

What it says on the tin, he covered 433km which was more than anyone else last season more than Kante, only De Bruyne and Eriksen had more assists than Gylfi last season. Gylfi is one of the best players in the league.

That was in a side that geared everything through him. Ayew has fovered more ground than any other Swans player I believe. If he is one of the best players in the League then he really should be domestically outperforming Jordan Ayew. Don't you think? And he isn't.

If you honestly think that Jordan f*cking Ayew and Gylfi Sigurðsson are comparable then there's only one person here who's an utter moron Roathy. Spoiler: It's you. Go back and watch the Liverpool hammering.
