Something I notice about those matches is hard hard our front players would work to put pressure on the defenders and how fast we would break once we won the ball back.

Not good, we are reminiscing already.
Yes, save this for the next few years mun !!
These stories will warm our hearts in the coming seasons as we bounce around the lower leagues , a team that was everybodies 2 nd favourite because they out footballed the big boys on a regular basis and did it on a budget by being smart in the style of play ,recruitment of players and managers and harvesting an ethos that was the envy of many others .

With Garry getting the last gasp winner!
Yes...and Michu cracking one in from distance 😠Can't remember who was the other goal scorer? Little did we now that last gasp win at Crawley would get us our first major trophy! What a night that was at the Bridge, much better than the final itself which was too easy & over before half time.

I liked the comment from Bradford manager Phil Parkinson when asked about how easily Swansea won. "They've been doing that to Premiership teams all season".
How times have changed.

Yes, we could have got 10 that day, not forgetting that Bradford beat Arsenal & Villa on their way to the final.

Was there any truth in the fact that we decided to "go easy" on them?
Also, whilst the major trophy was our high point, it was also the beginning of the end. Monk benched, Ki started in his place, Monk obviously never forgave, the rest is history....

Re your second paragraph - I’ve often thought the same. I made a sharp intake of breath when I heard the team news over the Wembley PA system, I would have gone with Monk if I’m honest.
