Ki 12:03 - Jan 11 with 1521 views | longlostjack | Why wasn't his contract extended last summer? Were we happy just to see him run down his contract? Yet another bizarre decision. [Post edited 11 Jan 12:04]

Yes they do have Son from Spurs. What's that got to do with Ki?

Ki on 16:36 - Jan 11 with 1085 views | Morfa_Same | Should have been sold the summer before last when we had a perfectly good offer for him from Stoke. They could have had Ki and we may have got Allen. Instead we've got Ki hardly playing while running his contract down for two years.

Shame we didn't take the same stance with llorente.
Ki on 12:37 - Jan 12 with 777 views | sP7qupUf | I'd be interested to know how many games he has actually started in the last two years. He seems to have been injured quite a bit. Reminds me of a guy that used to play in the same local league team as me. He was known as tampax.... in for one week, out for three!!
Ki on 13:00 - Jan 12 with 731 views | Tom1912 | He's 29 so it's his last chance for a big contract. We're probably going down, so instead of going to the Championship he can sign for a PL club (and he will have options) and probably get a £5m+ signing on fee as he'll be available on a free.

I get that but surely his contract should have been extended last summer? If he refused then it should have been made clear that he could train under Toshack Jnr. How many other Premier clubs let their players run down their contracts? Edit: The more I think about it the more it stinks. [Post edited 13 Jan 0:00]

I don't think money is a big problem for him, somehow.

It happens all the time. As long as he honours the terms of the contract he signed you can't punish the player (and the club) by banishing him to the reserves. Strongarm bullying tactics to get him to sign a new deal he doesn't want would stink far more than what he is actually doing.

I'd be surprised if he has many, if any, Premier League options. He can't have, he's cr@p.
