Init we seem to go for either the unrealistic targets or the other end of the scale which we nearly always end up with, instead of targeting players somewhere in the middle, 15 days of the window left and still nothing likely on the horizon, we'll have the usual "we tried to get a few deals over the line, but in the end it wasn't possible"
Not much you can do if players don't want to come here, but lets be realistic in our targets.
Aye, a load of deliberate pre-planned conniving subterfuge-bullsh#t from a bunch of utter scumbags with yet another desperate attempt to deceive. I guess Jenkins and Co might now be getting extremely worried about growing supporter anger and I guess poor season ticket renewal figures?

Let us be realistic: what half decent player would want to come to such a badly run, probably doomed-to-relegation club such as ours?
Indeed, they would want a king’s ransom and an easy escape route.
If we had done our selling business early last summer instead of trying to look hard by demanding a couple of million more for GS and waiting until the bitter end to sell FL, we might have been in with a chance of getting this calibre of player on board.
Huge damage was done by Levien playing the tough guy saying we won’t accept a penny less than £50M for GS. I think he thought that would curry favour with the supporters. He was actually screwing us and setting the scene for panic buying at the death.

Aye, the summer transfer window was all about banking a mega-profit from player sales that would have in turn filled the Yank 27 and (still shareholders) Jenkins and Morgans pockets with generous share dividend payouts.
So greedy low-life Jenkins-Morgan are collaborator(s)-participator(s) and were in on the act and indeed stand well and truly guilty of the mess the club is now in along with the Yanks.
The greed-tactic looks to have backfired creating a the most appalling of consequences and indeed become a most spectacular of own-goals!
Yes we would offer £25 m but just to make sure we don't sign him we would only offer 10 k a week wages ! it's the perfect way to do a lot without doing anything, yet, the happy clappers will buy into it same as they still buy into it at the Liberty despite being offered very little for very much money .
