Just came up did it, Kass? Just popped up out of the blue? You know who these people are, I take it?

Take care you're not stumbling blindly down a road that will make your parents and grandparents ashamed of you.

I was waiting for you to pop up after seeing the Crimes of Britain link. I reckon you have some kind of built in radar.

Just out of interest, how much of that article on Churchill would you dispute? Never mind perspective, historical or otherwise, and opinion. Purely on the facts stated, how much of it is incorrect?

It's not really my job to defend Churchill, Clase, nor is it something I've ever been inclined to spend too much time doing over the years. I've had a quick read through and some of it seems genuine, some of it I've seen disputed and some of it is pretty standard Edwardian fayre that wouldn't have troubled the conscience of your great-grandfather over much.

What's genuinely troubling me is how a young chap from this neck of the woods has encountered these lunatics?

First a very good morning to you even though in west Wirral it's bible black gloomy .

Many from small insular valley villages have been fed is Churchill crap.
Similiarly with the apocryphal excesses of the miners dispute in he eighties ..

Sadly, unless kids are very independent minded. ,like I was, they take on what is said on dad s knee or from grandad reminiscing about better days.
I had both and decided to make my own judgements through life and it hasn't turned out too bad .

Personally, I believe if I d stayed in South Wales ,it's well possible I'd be a completely different animal to what I ve turned out to be . Places like South Wales, northern England and Scotland suffer ,in my opinion, from too much hiraeth ,too much sentimentalism , too little realism and it's why so many leave never to return .

When my father finally dies ,I can't see myself returning to Swansea that much . It would be breaking of umbilical cord that still chokes me sometimes

Churchill was appointed Chancellor of the Exchequer in 1924 under Stanley Baldwin and oversaw Britain's disastrous return to the Gold Standard, which resulted in deflation, unemployment, and the miners' strike that led to the General Strike of 1926

Not fed valley crap. He was undoubtably a fine war leader. Elsewhere a disaster as a politician whose policies caused sever hardship to people.

He also proved an electoral liability losing more elections than he one.

I suggest you look at his whole career and not just the war period.

Finally as regards your last paragraph I cannot see it being anything but positive you wont be coming here as you are constantly negative about the place.

I take it you're not familar with Twitter enough, in order to ask how to find lunatics?

This has come from the @Ireland official feed, where a curator has taken responsibility of 'moderation' this week (every week a new individual is selected). He has taken his moment to air his views on ol' Winnie.

I thought it was topical.

Twitter is a bit modern for Lohengrin. He inhabits simpler times when the Daily Express was a respected broadsheet newspaper. You have to make allowances.

That's as may well be, Sir Andrew, but I'm also perfectly well aware of who and what the Irish Republican Socialist party is, the people behind the link Kass posted up.

ISRP/Red Action ... Warrington ... infanticide.

A stranger to Twitter and I'm more than happy to keep it that way. Ta very much.

There we are I told you, when you went putting up images of atrocities I told you it was not cricket and somebody with an opposing view could put up images of atrocities committed by the other side and that there is a site with hundreds/no probably thousands of images of atrocities perpetrated by the side that you would no doubt support and that I myself would not put those images up, well looks like someone else has pointed you in that direction and you don't like it.

The kid doesn't appear to have the first idea who they are and I very much doubt you would either, Tramp, though you may pretend otherwise.

Don't like it? No, Tramp. I can't really say as I do. I'd place it in the same category as a link to child pornography.

Shame Chamberlain hadn't stayed PM

We would have had peace with Herr Hitler, had Edward V111 as President of the colony of Britannia ,then this Churchill fella wouldn't have upset so many .

Wood is a perfect example of narrow minded insular valleyism that blights people and is still perpetuated down generations .

It's 2018 out there yet tramp and his chum are utterly obsessed with the past . Not for nothing is Wales way behind

They have your side with guns hiding behind children, cutting heads off, torturing people, showing women and children in concentration camps etc etc
I warned you putting up an atrocity from the other side is a battle you cant win.

Yes the side of the Germanic Queen of assorted Germanic tribes with their state religion, some people support the Welsh and the ancient Britons, sometimes they are on the same side but not always.

No change there then, wouldn't the Nazi's have kept the Royal family anyway ?, I think they did elsewhere in Europe.
There are pictures of the Royals doing Nazi salutes in the 1930s, somebody might even put the pics on this thread.

Do you think the Nazi's would have kept the Royal Family Lohengrin if they had conquered Blighty and the Royals were unable to escape ?, some other Monarchs in Europe were kept in position after the Germans had overrun their country.

I don't think there was ever any serious intention of invading these islands at all, nor do I imagine the Royal family being prepared to play ball should such a calamity have come to pass. Not for one second.
