Sadly passed away at 82.

Always loved to hear him as the summariser. Not the ego of the modern player

Only really know Jimmy through his excellent co-commentaries on Radio Five Live, Rest In Peace.

Very proud to be voted Planet Swans Poster of the Year 2017 by my fellow posters. Especially on a site that nearly had 20 million impressions last year.

Old enough to have seen him play, cultured right back never seemed to be rushed and made some very good forward runs. Very unlucky not to get the RB position in the England World Cup side very close between him and George Cohen. RIP

Never knew getting old would happen so quick!

Easily overlooked, but remember him taking over at Leeds when Clough was sacked. Reintroduced carpet bowls and bingo and they reached the european cup final. He should have won it as a manager which wuld have been quite ironic as he managed them by not managing them, and letting them all do what they wanted. A welcome antidote to today's megalomaniacs that think they have to tell payers how to do everything and take all the credit.

Always struck me as a nice man, a very nice man. RIP

Great pundit on the radio, particularly when in tandem with Peter Jones.

Made the Liverpool supporting Irish knob head who thinks he's chocolate sound like the tw@t he is. Can't remember his name, I always switch off when he's on.
