As soon as I saw the Fer injury I thought it was his achilles - did mine about 15 years ago, didn't need surgery but was in plaster for 14 weeks.

To be honest, I wasn't keen when I heard we were linked with him but, given CC's preference for playing Clucas in a wider, more advanced role, I started to see some merit in signing King as someone more central, box-to-box.
The news about Fer (who just seemed to be coming into some really good form) really opens up an opportunity for King - hopefully he grabs it with both hands. | | | |

For a personal standpoint for both it’s disappointing and I hope they recover as soon as possible.
From a Swansea selection point of view, Fer is the big one. He’s got something different to all our other centre mids as he can’t get us up the pitch quickly. Not really too devastated with Bony, which shows his current plight. He needs consistent games to get to the top of his level, which I don’t think he’ll find in this new system anyway. Especially with AA coming in.
And decent free agent CM’s out there?? Step up George Byers maybe?? |  | | |

I know I've slagged off Fer for being lazy but I'll say the same now as I did for his silly non red card.
We need every player possible because of the stupid mistakes our esteemed DoF Beaky has made thinking he can pick a player and flog more and better than he buys.
Window is now shut so Beaky can't affect fukall on the field.
May as well p1ssoff now and we can get some unity back into the club.
Even if all the bad stuff/ abuse is aimed at the Yanks.
Everyone is going to have to be behind the team, to try and lift their energy levels.

Fer has shown big improvements lately and will be a loss, the only one that calls out is ex Portugese international, a 28yr old attacking Midfielder. | |
