Disabled Parking 16:15 - Feb 6 with 7567 viewsDaggyjack

Just rang the club to ask to purchase disabled parking for tonight's match as I'm taking a lad with walking and learning disabilities to the match. I was informed that they had no spaces available. To me, this is not acceptable.
Anyone recommend somewhere close to the ground to park (the park and ride is probably too far for him to walk)?
The Swans don't seem to make things easy for disabled fans.

What’s unacceptable about parking being sold out a few hours before kick off?

I think the parking situation stinks down there but I don’t see the issue here.

I see your point , do they offer a drop off point anywhere ?

Unacceptable in that the crowd is going to be very poor tonight and yet they have no disabled spaces available. I'd be interested in knowing how many disabled spaces they have in total?

A drop off / pick up point would be great but this wasn't even offered.

We went to Chepstow Racecourse and were given a drop off point yet a multi million pound football club can't offer the same.

Maybe the trust disabled representative could suggest this option, it would greatly help.

Any advice on where the drop off point is though as you seem to be in the know

Thanks for that.
I rang them, they suggested I drop him off by the ticket office, leave him there on his own whilst I park in the park and ride, then do the same after the match

They've never tried to get out of the park & ride after a game then.
Even allowing for a low crowd they will close the road off to the stadium.
Cold night to be waiting around

Depending which part of the ground you are in

Rossi's used to allow parking at a cost

Same with Pick up Spares just under the bridge across from the stadium

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again,it’s not worth a waÅ„k down there.
When Peter Hain fancies his first game of the season when his beloved Chelsea come down in April he’ll be given a couple of free tickets and a free parking space when disabled season ticket holders have to pay £210 a season.
Mind you the DSA are looking in to it though they have been looking into it for several years now.

Not sure what it will be like tonight but you may want to ring Rossis and explain your situation so that they can reserve you a parking place.

Someone suggested to me once to use the park n ride, catch the bus headed in the Morriston direction and hop off at Rossi's. The same in reverse after the match.

No idea if this is a viable option but may be worth looking at when attending with limited mobility issues.

Just had a call back from the club to say that there is now disabled parking available and to just turn up.
£10 is a bit steep but worth it on a cold night meaning that the lad can walk to the West Stand easily.

Glad it's sorted, but £10,jeez, and I'm not just using this to knock the club.
But come on, that's a bit steep, and I don't care what anyone says that's terrible.
Hope you and your lad enjoys the game.👍

So let me get this right...

We employ 3 ( yes 3!) people to manage disabled issues at the football club and yet they still manage to fûck it up...

I'm astonished .
