PM Statement on Chemical Attack in the UK 17:20 - Mar 12 with 62769 views | westwalesed | Extraordinary statement by Mrs May and also quite scary. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-43377856 She has essentially said that the Russian Government is "highly likely" to have carried out a Chemical Attack on the United Kingdom, using a "military grade nerve agent" developed by the Russian Military and threatening hundreds of British Citizens. This is incredibly worrying. On another note, Mr Corbyn in his response attempted to conflate donations from Russian Oligarchs to the Conservative Party with this act. Disgraceful. Presumably, we have the material in our possession, so cloak and dagger is hardly necessary

That's the kind of detail we may not want to go into, chapter and verse, in public for obvious reasons.

There's a difference between destroying your military stockpiles of chemical weapons and not having any CW at all. That goes for the UK and US as well. They keep some for research purposes. They also have the ability to produce more.

I don't claim to have superior knowledge. I'm not pretending to be an expert on the subject but I'm pretty sure countries like the US, UK and Russia will have some stocks for research purposes. I'd be amazed if they dont. Do us a favour, when you email the OPCW tell them the UK is up to it too. They've been secretly producing VX at Porton Down and showing the BBC. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/magazine-36606510

PM Statement on Chemical Attack in the UK on 22:00 - Mar 15 with 2473 views | Kilkennyjack | To summarise: 1) Porton Down has acknowledged in publications it has never seen any Russian “novichoks”. The UK government has absolutely no “fingerprint” information such as impurities that can safely attribute this substance to Russia. 2) Until now, neither Porton Down nor the world’s experts at the Organisation for the Prevention of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) were convinced “Novichoks” even exist. 3) The UK is refusing to provide a sample to the OPCW. 4) “Novichoks” were specifically designed to be able to be manufactured from common ingredients on any scientific bench. The Americans dismantled and studied the facility that allegedly developed them. It is completely untrue only the Russians could make them, if anybody can. 5) The “Novichok” programme was in Uzbekistan not in Russia. Its legacy was inherited by the Americans during their alliance with Karimov, not by the Russians. [Post edited 15 Mar 2018 22:02]

PM Statement on Chemical Attack in the UK on 22:03 - Mar 15 with 2467 views | Kilkennyjack | As recently as 2016 Dr Robin Black, Head of the Detection Laboratory at the UK’s only chemical weapons facility at Porton Down, a former colleague of Dr David Kelly, published in an extremely prestigious scientific journal that the evidence for the existence of Novichoks was scant and their composition unknown.

Lol. I don't mean we shouldn't tell the governments of the US, France, Germany etc etc. I meant we may not want to put it out over Facebook so that everyone on here knows.

Horsesh1t! 1. is partly correct. But Russia will tell no one how to make it so it is the likely source ( and yes I know that one of those scientists who originally made it defected to the US) 2. Not true. Stocks were destroyed but if you have the formula you can make it again. 3. Show us where this has been stated by HMG or OPCW! 4.The old USSR kept all it's "new tech and research" SOLELY within it's borders. "Common or garden" tanks, rifle and bombs were deployed in it's satellite states. I also dispute " manufactured from common ingredients on any scientific bench." - Only specialised labs could do it safely. 5. Again wrong, Novichok was developed and stored in Russia as was all of it's secret tech.
