Stoke go down and Joe comes home? 21:23 - Mar 12 with 6361 viewsaberhugh

If Stoke exit via the trap door could we get Joe in a fire sale if we reach the shore with Captain Carlos?

Ideal replacement for Ki.

Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

He would be a perfect addition to run the midfield and should then be our club captain for years to come.

Think he'd jump at the chance too.

Would it be bad form if we got him to sign the contract on the pitch immediately after we beat them and send them down on the last day of the season?

Yes, it would be shockingly bad form but I'd still love to see us do it!

Ideal replacement for Ki.

As he would have been when Stoke were apparently willing to pay £7m for Ki and Liverpool wanted something like £12m for him.

Be nice to see him come home and I think he would suit this team very well. Can see us getting priced out even if they do go down though.

According to Sullivan West Ham bid £25M for Joe on deadline day in January.

If the truth was £10M less than that we’re probably out of the running.

This would be ideal, and I’d be happy to sign King too especially as he won’t be that expensive.

Allen, King, Fer, Clucas and Carroll wouldn’t be the worst collection of centre mids to go into next season with.

Only if he does a lap of honour with us first.

Where's the creativity that we desperately need in that lot?

Yeah, we'd still need an attacking midfielder/number 10 in addition to those

Fack me I was thinking that too. How low have our sights been set?

Not convinced with this ' love in' for Joe, not sure it's as much of a step forward that we need. I wouldn't object, but let's set our sights a little higher.

Indeed.

If we stay up maybe Carlos can attract a lobster or two?

Yup.

As a replacement for Ki he makes sense, if the price is right. We'd still need to significantly beef up our #10 and wide forward options too.

Carlos is Portuguese, hope he gets a few gems from that fine footballing nation.
On a different subject, was on the beach near the steps by the library, and Tammy was being interviewed by the media, this afternoon.

Joe would be a perfect replacement for Ki but we really need an exciting no.10 and also someone to replace Fer......not to mention a big, strong and mobile centre forward.

Poll: Simple...would you want Leon in the squad right now, if he was available?
