Brynymor road is nearby. Few decent pubs there.

Bryn y Mor or The Brunswick. I like the Brunswick but its a bit further to walk.

Brunswick.
Could try Hoogah cafe on bryn y mor road. It's more like a restaurant but had some top notch craft beer when I went before Christmas.

I stand in the North Stand

Some good suggestions made already, but another nearby option towards the sea is the Bayview, which does an okay pint and also serves Thai food.

The Westbourne, on the corner of Bryn-y-mor Road, would have been the real ale drinkers' choice years ago, but has been spoilt by an attempt to take it upmarket.

Are you thinking of the Brynymor on the corner of Brynymor road as The Brunswick is on Duke Street/Caswell Street?

You must have had a good few last time you walked down Brynymor, Fathy!

http://www.westbourneswansea.com/

This is on the corner, near the old main entrance to Swansea General Hospital (main facade still there), and close to where the old gents' outdoor public toilets were. But surely you know the pub?

RE: OP, for a girls' night out the Westbourne or Wig and Pen might suit.
