Obstruction 15:04 - Apr 1 with 793 viewsTenbySwan

Is there still a rule of obstruction in football?

You used to see indirect free kicks in the penalty area etc"

Nowadays this business of defenders shielding the ball out and going from side to side to obstruct the attacker is going a bit far at times and should surely be considered a foul?

Pogba did it against Carroll yesterday. Ball was still and Pogba was moving away from ball, at least 8 feet, deliberately keeping Carroll away and knocking him over in the process. Pogba got the free kick

Good question, it was common years ago for refs to award indirect free kicks for obstruction.

Continually being banned by Planet Swans for Porthcawl and then being reinstated.
