Need a win to put a bit more distance between us and the rest below us, cannot rely on winning against Saints and Stoke we really can't.

So onwards to next week on 18:06 - Apr 7 with 2235 views | Dr_Winston | We're having difficulty translating excellent home form into good away form, a problem exacerbated recently by the absence of our top scorer. Won't be the first team to do that, won't be the last. I'd expect us to get something from Everton.

We've been shameful in 5 of last 6,surely anyone can't disagree. How do you expect us to suddenly pull out of this slump against Everton, Chelsea and Man city...last 3 games we likely will need 2 wins. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

Four of those six (bar ten minutes at Huddersfield) we have been without our talisman. Two of those six we won, two we drew. One of them we had 10 men for 80 minutes and still picked up an away point, one of them was Old Trafford and Mourinho said something along the lines of it being the best they’ve played all season. The only one I’d really call shameful was Spurs at home.

Nowhere near the worst. Think of the dross towards the end of Monks reign. We will beat Everton and/or Chelsea. [Post edited 7 Apr 2018 22:04]

Yes let'all throw in the towel and prepare for the Championship. For crying out loud mun Our league record under Carlos is 5 wins, 4 draws and three defeats. We are not setting the world alight lately, but without Carlos I honestly doubt we would have got one win. Two words that might explain what we've been lacking lately - Jordan Ayew

At a guess the and is "we will stay up because another three points will be enough. WBA are down, Stoke are as good as down, Southampton will be down by the time get to the Liberty" As a fail safe for that, as long as we get the other three points, it is unlikely that Huddersfield will win another game this season, so they will be below us [Post edited 8 Apr 2018 8:13]

Stoke will join wba in going down and imo the last place is between us and soton as palace have some relatively easy games against teams who are practically safe So we HAVE to win 2 games at home, not lose against soton and hopefully pick up a point away Then we will be safe

Hudds have Watford, Everton and Arsena home, and Man City & Chelsea away. They are currently on the same points as us, with a GD 9 worse. For that reason I think it will be them that get dragged into the dogfight for the third place in the relegation zone All conjecture, obviously, and as long as we win at least two games then should all be academic

TBH whilst I believe our backs to the wall approach was the right one at Huddersfield, with 11 v 11 we'd have beaten them. They've had a few good results, but I don't honestly believe they are good enough to beat Everton or Arsenal. I think they'll draw against Watford and lose all the others

They may do but Arsenal nailed on for 6h and concentrating on the EL Watford are just bang in the middle of the table not going anywhere. Same applies with Everton. You could argue they are better games than Chelsea Southampton and Stoke who will have more motivation. And be desperate for points.

I do worry about the last two fixtures if our staying up depends on winning those two. As you say Everton are playing out the season, as realistically are Bournemouth.Man City hopefully will be by the time they play us, but Chelsea is still a winnable game. I sincerely hope it is all done and dusted before Southampton visit the Liberty
