An interesting and important article on 17:53 - Apr 12 with 2232 views | Lord_Bony | Interesting. It is true some cancers are far more aggressive than others. Some people have lived for decades with stable cancer tumours on the liver for example that just sit there doing nothing, they neither increase or decrease in size but are active. At the end of the day cancer is a lottery with the type you have and wether treatments work or not. There is no magic bullet in sight at the moment unfortunately.

Christ no, a magic bullet is a long way off if ever possible. That said every bit of information that can be used in treating this disease is worthwhile.

An interesting and important article on 18:26 - Apr 12 with 2175 views | Nogginthenog | My sister died 3 years ago from what i was convinced was ovarian cancer. The official term on the death certificate was metastatic tumours of unknown histopathology. In other words they couldnt determine the original source. This cancer was virtually untreatable so they tried a cocktail of chemotherapy that almost killed her. She was so traumatised that she refused further treatment. I cannot begin to imagine her bravery in facing the inevitable and i am still traumatised myself about the whole episode. I hope that these trials and investigations will someday lead to a cure for this infernal disease. I miss her terribly.
