10 Positives about being relegated 17:24 - May 13 with 4758 views | Glyn1 | It's not the end of the world. If, when we were promoted, we'd been offered seven seasons we would have grabbed it with both hands. 1. We'll win more than the 8 matches that we did this season. Travelling a couple of hundred miles to a match we knew we would lose (and back again afterwards) was never pleasant. Now for one season at least we'll be the big boys. 2. It will give opportunities for the reserves to break through. 3. Playing 46 matches rather than 38 gives an extra 12 hours of game time to cheer the Swans. 4. Bristol City is now our nearest rival instead of West Brom ... less travelling. 5. Er ... London Lisa will now be able to stroll to the Fulham ground and me to Brentford, both nice clubs. 6. We'll get to see Routledge and Dyer for another season. Thanks to jackfath for suggesting this. 7. ....... OK, I've got nothing. Any ideas? [Post edited 13 May 2018 20:49]

We'll be paying them to do even less if we can't shift the useless sods.

I grew up in Ipswich; looking forward to seeing them down the Liberty again next year. There are a few Ipswich Jacks and Swansea Tractor Boys around.

I know a couple, and isn't there a Felixstowe Jack on here as well. Been here since '79 but will always be a Swans fan. Got a complimentary ticket from Jeremy Charles in the early 80's, he had a relative in Wickham Market, lovely bloke, had the finest collection of Swansea pottery I've ever seen.

It’s been a struggle for the last 3 seasons. The PL is the place to be, but it’s not the end of the world.

Happy for you but personally trips to Norwich & Ipswich are the worst I’m saying I won’t do either again but we will probably clinch promotion mid April at one # positive

10 Positives about being relegated on 17:52 - May 13 with 2617 views | londonlisa2001 | For me, a benefit will be getting an away ticket last minute. I often just don't know whether I can go to a match until quite close to it, and these last few seasons that's been hard and I've missed games I could go to and similarly I've bought tickets I then can't use.

Ipswich away is usually in November. I agree, they aren't the best away trips.
10 Positives about being relegated on 17:57 - May 13 with 2571 views | Evanski | The unpredictability will be a refreshing change. The last two seasons it's been patently obvious to all but, apparently, our recruitment staff that we would struggle to score let alone win. As long as we're able to find mugs to buy our shower of sh!t players I'd hope that at least 10 will sod off and as many will come in. The last time I can remember us having anywhere near as radical an overhaul of the starting XI was before the 2007-08 season and that one's up there with 2012-13 as my favourite Swans seasons. However, we need to bring in the right manager and someone who knows his arse from his elbow to identify and recruit our signings. If it wasn't for the fact that I doubt Jenkins will have the decency to step aside from that role I'd actually be quite looking forward to next season.

My mistake, back in the 80's they were, last 3 were 2 in October and 1 in December, not far out.

Aye, one of those games coincided with my wife’s birthday and she didn’t appreciate 12 hours in a car as one of her presents.

Some of your kids will be disappointed if you’re only paying for two of them Cooperman. Bit harsh that, and how are you going to decide which two go?
