Absolutely disgraceful to see.
Stuart should hang his head in shame.

Well, that and saying if you're not in the room then you're not going to know what's going on.

If it was up to me I wouldn't have the Trust anywhere near it (and frankly that statement just convinces me the yanks don't have the appetite for the sort of changes we so desperately need) but in fairness the logic is sound.

Not that this wasn't an issue debated of course...

There is a difference between being consulted and being told what is going on.

If all it amounts to is being told then it is no more than scraps from the table and the only point is to make the people that go there feel as self important as a pox doctors clerk.

And the first line I wholeheartedly understand

But I think (having experienced it first hand) it is very unlikely that any discussions of substance take place in the room before the game

The only time they do is when they are pre-planned.

And I will say no more on the subject as it will end up with some pointed comments at certain people which I dont want to do

Out of interest though - what was the split on those in favour or a boycott v those in favour of attending

It was close.

From what I'm hearing, there have been discussions of relative substance in fairness which that rather depressing statement seems to confirm in a roundabout way.

Anyway, I suspect tomorrow's board meeting will be interesting if nothing else.

Club board or Trust board?

The statement in question is of no surprise at all - hastily put together under an all too familiar heading. I heard said directors box was devoid of both chairman and vice chairman today anyway?

I wonder what the post match party in Kaplan Towers will be like this week - they may all have their Shrek masks on ready

Ha.

I couldn't tell you who was in the directors box but I know the Dineen's were escorted into the west stand by security through the door nearest the Trust pod of all places....

Stuart McDonald travels away to most games, sometimes with a mate, but when we stop short of ground for refreshments, he/they then make own way to opponents ground to enjoy their free hospitality. Why should this happening

He does travel to most away games, the masochist. Makes his own way up as you say. Tends to split his time between going in the away stand as the away directors box though.

If anyone thinks it's a perk, and I'm sure Phil would ridicule that premise, then they're welcome to stand in a couple of months time to have a crack at the SD role themselves! Big potential for change in the summer in that regard.

Oh its a massive perk. The joys of being able to watch football away from anything that you ae used to, sucks all the enjoyment out of it

For all that this season has been shh!t the best part of it has been able to watch football with the people I have watched with for many many years

Given the feelings that were always going to be aimed at the directors box today the most logical thing would have been a complete Trust boycott for the game

I can hear the "it is our right" comments though being said in response...

“It’s their right” their right is to protect the club for the fans, but it seems it’s all about them, they’ve been taught well by Jenkins, fuk the fans get take the freebies and enjoy😡

You can take this as you like but for all the intra Trust debate I've seen regarding the directors box, the only discussion I've ever seen it as being a right has been in terms of the Trust having the right to be there, not individuals.

Let’s hope that the next time both chair and vice chair enter the liberty is to clear their desks and hand the keys back and never to darken the Liberty doors again.
They were probably enjoying some Cheesecake up the Ynysmeudwy Arms.

What does the vice chairman role involve then seeing as he’s not a director or on the board or anything?

Serious question.

Our Club is fast turning into a laughing stock. It needs to get itself organised and soon as its on the same slippery slope that clubs like Portsmouth Coventry Blackburn Bolton and Blackpool have been on recently. It can easily gather speed and become impossible stop as it gathers momentum.

As for the Trust if they can't even agree on the most simple philosophy eg whether presence in the Directors Box is beneficial then what hope have they of ever being able to do or achieve anything of note? They are an absolute embarrassment as well by the way. A (collective) shower of shyte in terms of what they have failed to deal with or confront.

Only an idiot would eat a turkey curry on Christmas day

The vice chairman was in the Directors Box today.

Not in his normal seat, he was sat right on the end to facilitate a quick get away. Plod and security were on hand nearby all game in case anyone tried to have a word with the delicate flower.

The behaviour of the Trust in recent times has been massively disappointing, and I say that as someone who both likes and respects a number of the people involved. It's like they're scared of upsetting certain parties.

F*ck that. We need to get in people's faces. The cozy relationship between Trust people and incumbent shareholders was wrong to begin with. They can't keep making the same mistakes.

Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.
