Why would it be a surprise when I've been blaming them all season.

Come on now FFS. I've made a promise to myself to only reply to intelligent posts, I've made an exception here.

Intelligent posts are not your forte, self important ones are more your style.

Personally I would blame the following for our relegation.

Poor recruitment.
Negative football from Clement and Carlos.
28 goals.
Under performing players.
Lack of application from players who don't give a toss about the club not all.
Finally disunity in the stands caused by a devious greedy selling board and poor performances on the pitch.

Yes I would agree but what was the one thing we could've done something about from your list?

Yes I get that but it needs to be a 2 way thing when the players put a shift in the vast majority appreciated it and upped the volume.
Also went to a few away games and the support was always pretty good I thought.

Unfortunately the players were playing to orders, Clements. Yet he always got away Scott free, so it's not quite as simple as that

I like it, quite funny for you.

But seriously if we continue to slag everything off about SCFC we can forget any sort of challenge next season.

Think we have every reason to slag every thing off about the club...tell me one area that's fine...it shows how passionate we are about the club!

You right in the main about playing to orders I agree...but initially none played that negatively from the start suggesting the players abilitys came out in the wash after so many games.
I think PC will do ok at Reading as there is room in the championship to develop a style and build teams..the PL you cant outside the top 7.

If the fans won't let the Jenkins thing go they'll have to sack him as without total unity we can forget next season.

We've got a major, major chance next season and we're the bookies favourites, but with the toxic atmosphere of last season continuing then forget it.

My fear is Jenkins does go and the so called fans find something else to bring the club down.

I agree with a lot of this.
The negativity needs to stop if we are going to do anything next season.
What if Jenkins does go ?,what next.......
Director of football,yeah right.....who ?

No. The fans have seen good players replaced with garbage ,at a cost.

That s why they want a new chairman

Quick question

Were we happy pre season with the signings we made last season ?

Bony - everybody wanted him back
Mesa - rave reviews from Spain
Remark Sanches - Bayern Munich and Euro 2016 star

People were happy because I remember all the positivity on here !

They didn't work out like previous seasons,Michu/Bony/Llorente/Siggurddson,that's it,thats why we went down.

However ,it's a results business

There was huge positivity on here pre season after we signed Sanches,Abraham,Mesa and then Bony.
People predicting top 10 finishes, all sorts.

The signings didn't work out, simple as that,we now have to re build.
Stoke had a similar problem.

All of those signings went t*ts up. We could have tried bringng in new blood in January but no one significant came in. That's why we're down. And as for Bony I was dead against him coming back and Andre Ayew

You might have been, most weren't though we're they ? Judging by the comments on here.

What decent players are going to come to a club bottom of the league in January ?

Most of last summer on here was spent discussing what was happening with Gylfi and Llorente.
Many on here including myself were disappointed not only to see them go, but the lack of suitable replacements.
It seemed both were going as soon as the 2016 / 17 season finished, so we should have sold both ASAP and got in adequate replacements.
I was more optimistic for the new season, but like many, felt yhat the goals those two had provided would be hard to replace.

It was reported on BBC Radio Wales news yesterday that he doesn't want to come back

I feel true this backs up what I am thinking.
It is not just wages and lower levels of football. Players can see what a toxic incompetent mess the club is in and can only see our decline continuing.
I bet it ain't pretty on the inside.

Or to put it slightly differently, it was Swansea's explicit strategy to buy underachieving players.

Jenkins touted himself as the ultimate footballing alchemist who could identify failures that would then be turned to gold in his expert hands. No doubt sold himself to Kaplan & Co on that basis too.

Then, after 3 years persistently flirting with relegation, the sad truth was eventually revealed; Jenkins' alchemical skillz turned out to be nothing but hot air.

Or his lucky streak had run out.

Whichever, the time is way overdue for a fundamental rethink of strategy and ethos.

Indeed shaky. Brilliant critique.
I've read Chrissy mentioning he only replies to intelligent posts.
How does that work and who decides if they are or not.

If it's the reader ,then it's surely only his interpretation as to if its intelligent or not.

So that s not intelliegent to me.
