The Copper Quarter 08:46 - May 16 with 5200 views | moonie | I'm looking for an apartment to rent next week. Previously we stayed Uplands which was ok but issues with parking Stayed in all the main stream hotels and they don't impress much. Plenty of apartments in bnb in the Cipper Quarter. I only remember this as industrial wastelands but obviously these apartments must have some attributes. We want some decent restaurants within walking distance . Is there a walkway to the marina and then onto the prom? Thanks

The Copper Quarter on 20:33 - May 16 by moonie | Had a pleasant exchange with owner and booked right away as hotel choice is very poor Might well get down to a favourite cliff walk for quiet reflection on life and how to handle the future . Neither of our " kids" are going Rev Man Thanks |

What..... and miss the traditional 2 foot long pepper grinder waved about with a real flourish as if it is some magical wand whenever you ask for some pepper. Just leave a normal pepper pot on the table please Italian restauranteurs. The 2ft pepper pot/wand waving thing isn't impressing anyone, we're quite capable of using a traditional pepper pot placed on the table. The theatrics don't turn an ordinary average bit of grub into a culinary masterpiece. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

The Copper Quarter on 14:47 - May 17 with 1473 views | WxmJax | As regards Air Bnb, I looked at a b&b with them last week in Scotland at £85 per night. A bit steep I know but when I went to book it was £98, £13 booking fee for Air BnB. Now it was getting silly. I then searched for the accommodation directly online and fortunately they had a web site and booking direct it was only £80. The owners had passed on their £5 Air BnB 'fee' so as not to lose out on price which meant I would be paying nearly 25% more for the privelege of going with Air BnB rather than booking direct. Needless to say I went direct.
