They reckon there’s a small galaxy approaching our Galaxy, at about a few hundred miles a second, and it will take hundreds of million light years to reach it.
I wonder if the Swans will be back in the Premier League by then?

Light travels at 186,000 miles per second.
The sun is around 93 million miles from the earth and light from the sun takes about 8 mins to reach planet earth.
The reason we use light years, is because the sheer mileage would contain to many naughts.
How many miles in a light year is - 186,000 x 60 x 60 x 24 x 365 = 5,878,625,373,183.6 miles.
