He deserves the award for all the support he gave the Hillsbrough families. There is a fanastic documentary called Kenny on the iPlayer. He has also done some amazing charity work.

Sir Kenny Dalglish on 22:49 - Jun 8 with 3640 views
Back in 1988 I went on football tour to play in the former Yugoslavia (now Croatia) before the ‘war’ .....
We flew out from Heathrow and had to fly to Zagreb then change to Dubrovnik. During the bus trip to Heathrow & the flight itself we were a group of 20ish who were up for a football tour abroad with the usual high spirits etc
One of the lads was a very vocal Scotsman who always wanted to be first in everything so during the bus trip one of the lads got his passport and ‘adjusted’ the photo ....
Upon arrival at Zagreb, we all knew that our Scottish mate would be first up to the Passport Control so we all held back then burst into laughter as the Border Control Officer looked at his passport and could not correlate the likeness between him and his photo on his passport which was of course ....Kenny Dalglish 😂😂😂
I was stunned when I heard that Kenny Dalglish was to be knighted. I didn’t want to put a dampener on things but becoming a knight seemed a bit of a step down for him after being king. Still, good luck to him.
Nah you’d be wrong. I don’t think Kenny should get one I don’t think anyone should get one it all stinks for me.
I’m going to see the Rolling Stones next week but look at Mick Jagger who obviously got knighted for services to tax avoidance,an absolute disgrace.
I’ll tell something else too before I leave you,we see people everyday far more worthy of getting a gong than these multimillionaire cockheads.
GSTQ,blah blah blah.
Totally agreed.
